I'm pretty sure you can get Midway Arcade Treasures 2 for the Gamecube, which includes Mortal Kombat 2 and 3.  The collection was released for $19.99, so it should be at that or cheaper by now.

Give it time.  I'm willing to bet that Mortal Kombat Armageddon will come out with a special edition containing all of the MK games...

MK 1, 2 and 3 were supposed to be on it... but they took out the one MK game to put it in Deception, I recall.

As for Street Fighter.. I was just watching the movie the other night.  Yes... it's Cheezy as hell, but compared to Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, it's freakin Citizen Kane.

I saw both of MK movies in theatres and they totally fucking rocked! ...I did eat these weird mushrooms that grow out of cow shit on both occasions, maybe that had something to do with it.

I saw MK 1 and 2 in theatres.  When I say MK1, the place was packed.  When I say MK2, the second day of release there were THREE people in the theatre... including my brother, and myself.

What's really sad is that I own MK:A on DVD. :P

Because he's still in search of the person who told the movies "villains" to stand on a cliff, in a horizontal line and look "menacing" for five minutes as only SOME of them are introduced...

I got it because I have this strange thing where if I have the first DVD of something, I feel compelled to get the next one... especially when the first continues directly into the second one.   One of the reasons I have Resident Evil Apocalypse as well.

Of course, I'll buy pretty much anything game related on DVD.   I've even got Darkstalkers... the American version... on DVD.

I also have a Sonic Underground DVD, Both Street Fighters, Both MegaMans, Seasons 3 and 4 of Reboot, Legend of Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, Sonic The Movie, MegaMan Upon a Star... and on the VHS side, the lame Mortal Kombat animated movie and even an ep of MK: Defenders of the Realm.

The best thing though, would have to be my 2-tape set for the Unauthorized Pokemon Master stuff.  A whopping 1.88 I got that one for.   I've yet to open it, but I read that Ernie Hudson is on tape 2... and he's good in ANYTHING he's in, no matter how crappy it may be.

Here's a picture.  I lost all the other shots on my computer, but this one was luckily uploaded to Photobucket.

Well get ready to buy another MK DVD. MK3 is in pre-peoduction as we speak. I hope they base it on Deadly Alliance. That was a damn good game.

MK5 has been in production for the last 7 years.  BEFORE Mortal Kombat: Conquest.  I'm not going to hold my breath.

:P

Yeah... Adam Sessler actually has a surprising tendency to respond to my threads/posts on the G4 forums.   He rarely ever posts, but around 1/2 of his posts are in response to something I've asked, which is odd, because I'm a complete moron.

Anyway... I run the unofficial X-Play episode guide and ratings database on the G4 forums.  Something I created late TechTV era and have continually updated.   Even though it's unofficial, it's been acknowledged by the staff and Matt Keil, who is not only one of the producers/writers/TechTV vets still on the show, but also a Transfan, said that the staff uses it for personal reference, since, apparently, after the demise TechTV, no one saved any records from the show.

So, just by coincidence, I posted about the 300th episode airing on the same day that they filmed it.  They went out partying afterwards, I guess, not realizing that it was the 300th episode until I posted.  So they sent me some G4 stuff, a thank you note, and the autographed photo above.

:P

In his defense though....it did come in the box set. It would be a lot more sad had he bought them all seperately.

Setzler may be cooler, but Webb's better in bed.

Unless you like that hot buttsecks.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

It was either get Batman and Batman Returns seperately for a total of $40, or get all 4 for $50.  And Forever and Batman and Robin with an extra disc of crap each, I figured, was worth just about $2.50 per disc.   Yes... Batman and Robin is among my top 5 crappiest films ever... but something compelled me to want to hear Joel's commentary, and maybe try to extract something out of the mind of the person who fuckd up the franchise.

And just when I was about to give him the benefit of the doubt, as he claims a lot of the crappiness from B&R originated with the studio and producers... he goes and says something like "Well, what do you expect... it's a comic book movie".    Oh well.

BTW... the Batman Begins Collector's Edition Deluxe Set thing... sucked as well.   Why did I spend an extra $10 on that pointless second disc again?

If you look close enough, you'll notice 2 versions of Back to the Future Trilogy there.   I got the original Widescreen release that was inadequately cropped in parts 2 and 3, later recalled and re-released... and then, after finding out that the LBX version is cropped and not the other way around, I got the Full Frame version 2.5 years later.
