Man I knew I was getting old when someone had to explain to me what a EMO was.

Get a teenaged nephew and you won't have that problem.
Yeah.....I think I'll pass. Besides, I'm an only child.

You'd think there would be some adoption program, but "be a Big Uncle" does sound a little creepy.

Side note to Nuri:  you've heard Scritti Politti, right?  I found my old tape last night.  AND Killing Joke.  It's 1985 again in my car!
Tortures end me,

Nirvana and Pearl Jam are not emo and if anyone doesn't believe that I will fight you and that's no lie! [/papa burgandy]
Nobody said they were.  Don't turn into a Doug now and read half a post.
I'll never go younger than 18 ;) , but did the wiki article call them emo?

Nobody called them emo.  It just referenced them in the article,  Wikipedia's article on emo.

*reads that part*
Oh it draws a parallel in the record label  marketing strategies between grunge and emo.

I actually like Linkin Park, and technically, they're not emo.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

No, technically they are a boy band.

Well now maybe, but if a corporation sets out and creates a band... boyband. I find it funny when people listen to them and think they are 'extreme'. :D

Heh.

*Listens to a few of his Linkin Park album*

Don't say anything or I'll start posting up lyrics from my Backstreet Boys CDs.

My general rule is if I think it sounds good I listen to it, regardless of what it is.

Would that include anything by Spears or a Simpson?

I don't want it to be easy, I want it to be right.

I like "Toxic" and "Pieces of Me".  That "I Didn't Steal Your Boyfriend" one is a piece of crap, though she looks good in what I've seen of the video.

I like "Toxic" and "Pieces of Me".

Ditto on both. Which is honestly about all I've heard from her that I like.

Though I do like the dance remix of hit me one more time.

I was reading a Blender today and I didn't know who half of those people were.  And the chick in the thong offended me.  Too much booty and not a very nice looking one at that.
