yes (and i got this explication from my best friend's mom who is a very important gynecologist)

the thing that comes out when u have a period is, besides blood, other stuff that is being expulsed from your body(most of it is dead matter), so if u have sex while u have ur period the only thing you are doing is just keeping that stuff inside you, or even(with the thrusts) just getting it back again in there. this can lead to infections or even cancer.
