Ya!  Anyway, some additional information.  One of my co-workers watched Acces Hollywood this morning, she came into ask to get off early, different story, anyway.  She told me the revealed some stuff from last week's episode, the number 108 IS in the grafitti, along with the numbers that equal that sum.  There's also a picture there of Rossaue(sp?).  The kid, when he's talking to the brat girl in the woods, it's not tangible if you turn it up even, they played it backwards, he says, "Push the button, no don't push it."  WTF?  The numbers were also on Desmonds injection at the beggining when we first saw him in the vault as a mysterious figure.  Suuuspiciioooouusss.

The shark that attacked Michael and Sawyer had the tatoo that is on all of Desmond's swag. SUSPICIOUS!

Also the guy who died in the car crash was Shannon's (Bitchy Blonde white chick) Dad, who may have built the hatch.

I record it because me and Kary are in the lab. We had just rewound to see what it looked like as it circled the raft, and then we looked to see if it was a shark, and boom. Boogie Woogie Feng Shui.

Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I remember when people would get confused when I used a male advatar and they would call me on it.  I would think what the hell is their problem.  Well now I understand.  Everytime I see Swiggie's advatar I keep thinking it's a girl making the post.  Doesn't help that I have a hard time remembering that he is the drunken squirrel.

Jin speaks English, the fuck?  I'm not surprised, I'm disappointed.  Is the world so small that everyone knows English now?

And there's too many damn commercials in this show.  The flashbacks used to feel more informative than filler, and now they just feel like filler.

It kinda came in as showing why Locke believes in faith.

And I think the Jinn scene was a dream of Sun's. If Jinn spoke English, he would have done so by now.

But yeah, we learned basically nothing new in this damn episode, except the island is a buncha hippie scientist's fuck ground. I think there is nothing bad that is gonna happen with the timer. I agree with Jack that it probably is an experiment.

Still, wtf is the damn smoke monster!?

Sidenote- Ann-Lucia is a bitch.

Yeah, I was there I was posting my previous message.  Any thoughts on...

--the involvement of "the Third Policeman" in this?  Or did they change their minds and use "Turn of the Screw" instead?

--Was Desmond with Jack's chick in that photo?

--What will happen to Desmond?  You're on an island, brother.  There's no where to go.  Will the Others find him first and perhaps keel him?

--There's a rumor that a female will die in an October episode.  My bet's on Shannon.  With the introduction of yet more new characters, she's as useless as ever.

And just because there's so much hype now about the button not doing anything, it better end up doing something.

Actually, come to think of it, the entire thing with the button and the computer might be some sort of experiment. The thing in there that's all magnetic, maybe it's connected to the computer and keeps compasses messed up and maybe planes/boat radars from detecting the island.

I don't want it to be easy, I want it to be right.

Or it's a giant experiment. Though the wierd shit going on kinda proves Jack wrong. Polar Bears? Ethan? Wet Walt?

No way it's an experiment to see how long they can keep an idiot guessing.

[addition] Nevermind I got it.  I hear the move "The Others" is based on this book.[/addition]

Ha ha, classic.

Merla, have you seen the Others?  "Turn of the Screw" and the Others aren't the same.  Now this would've been a perfect place for the spoiler tag if I knew how to put it back on, but I'll just make do without and use HTML.....

But the Others isn't the same as Turn.  In the Others, and I'm really banking on most of us having seen this movie or elected to never see it anyway, we know they're dead and the mother killed the children and herself, thus haunting the current residents of the house who are from another era.  In Turn, we have only the governess' account of the events to go by, and....

[doHTML]
<table bgcolor="#000000"><tr><td bgcolor="#000000"><font size=1 color="#FFFFFF">Spoiler: (highlight to read)</font></td></tr><tr><td><font size=3 color="#000000">We don't know if the governess is sane or not.  Only the boy dies, supposedly from seeing a ghost, but for all we know it was other reasons.  The ghosts that haunt the governess are not mysteries from another era as they are in the Others, but former residents of the household who have recently passed, including the prior governess.</font></td></tr></table>
[/doHTML]

Anyway, there's a whole Turn section on Sparknotes for the interested..

And you checked out Policeman because a story ran that said that book was going to be used in this episode of Lost, which supposedly prompted huge sales for it.  I even rewound to try and look on Desmond's shelf just to see if it was hanging out but I didn't see it.  It's supposedly a trippy book and I'd rather not spoil Policeman here but....

[doHTML]
<table bgcolor="#000000"><tr><td bgcolor="#000000"><font size=1 color="#FFFFFF">Spoiler: (highlight to read)</font></td></tr><tr><td><font size=3 color="#000000">The narrator is dead... or somethin'.  So people are suggesting it aludes to the already debunked theory that the Lost-ees exist in some sort of purgatory.</font></td></tr></table>
[/doHTML]

Also...

[doHTML]
<table bgcolor="#000000"><tr><td bgcolor="#000000"><font size=1 color="#FFFFFF">Spoiler: (highlight to read)</font></td></tr><tr><td><font size=3 color="#000000">Desmond's accent is totally hot.</font></td></tr></table>
[/doHTML]

Okay, someone pointed it out to me.  The Third Policeman is noticable when Desmond grabs his things to leave.  So I looked back at the episode and it's there.  Rather obviously, too.  Whoops.

I'm still confused about the chick in the picture with Desmond.  I don't remember what Sarah looks like either, but people at the Lost google group don't think it's her.

Who thinks those natives will be cannibals and try to eat the survivors they captured? :D
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

Nah. Jack and Locke lead with reason and faith. The black guy is a former drug dealer, and is leading his group of crash survivors with force and violence.

Also the black chick's husband is a white dude. Once you white... you say 'aight!

While it didn't occur to me that her husband might be white, I certainly didn't think he was, uh, "Shaft".  lol  I like how some people just saw the black guy and thought, "Rose's husband"!  Think he'll catch Charlie with that Mary....?
