We've been using it for our shows, but only because every artist I've hired to do artwork for us has flaked with the job half done. Don't want people to use AI art, well actually finish what you said you'd do.

What kind of art do you have it generate? Just curious.

Mainly character designs, just put in the descriptions of characters and see what it spits out and when it gives me something I like I use that one. I’ve literally had four artist come in, and none of them have ever finished what we agreed they would do. I had one did finish what I asked him to do, but I only asked him to do one as I wanted to see what his style look like. I didn’t like it. Decided not to go with.

I like AI art for stupid or silly stuff. Or where art may be needed for a simple use like a profile picture for a character in a game you're playing or something.

But holy shit.

I searched for photos of bedrooms the other day... Like design and style-wise because I like collecting ideas for my journal. And every internet search was an utter deluge of fucking AI slop. Like, holy crap, it made me angry. I want photos of actual places. Why does AI shit come up when I'm searching for PHOTOS?

Also, Google really is garbage now. The image search is so junked. I was searching for art of Apothecary Diaries and wanted a bigger version of the promo art I found but Google refused to give it to me even though I know it fucking exists. I'm so sick of Google. Google needs to die in a fire now.

It's as nonfunctional as they can make it. Sure, you MAY find what you're looking for, but you will likely have to screencap it to save it for reference.

Why, why back in our day, musical artists used to steal from other people. Now they have the computer steal everything for them. I remember when that Wish movie came out from Disney and all of these folks were saying it was like AI wrote it.

Some people swear by Bing, but it's too clunky for me. I use DuckDuckGo just to reduce the size of my Google data scrape.

I don't use Bing personally but because my work computer defaults to Edge, it defaults to Bing for internet searching and I can't change that. So I usually have to double-team with the wombo-combo that's "search it through Bing" then "search it through Google"; or even, "search it through Google" and then "search it through Bing."

Sometimes Google maps doesn't even have an updated picture of an address or it's blurred so I go to Bing and get a better picture on their map. Or Bing's map will be dark (it happens a lot, like someone put the sun away) so I go to Google to pull the image. I'll search a business and Google will tell me the business is closed and Bing will tell me the name of the new business that took over the location. Or vice versa. Together, they manage to produce competent search results but between Bing doing math when I search phone numbers and Google's glut of AI findings and trying to sell me Shein and Temu shit, it's still like watching two retards race to the bottom of the hill.

I'm sorry. I know I can't use that word anymore: retard. But I'm not using it on a human or another living creature. I'm using it for Bing and Google because they're both ass and they both deserve it.

God, my job keeps pushing AI. My boss is all "It's not going to take your job."  And I'm all, "Sir, it's being trained to take our jobs. Using it is training it."

Then we have some fucking VPs visit our office this week and all of us working hybrid in this damn office are forced to be their captive audience of clapping seals.

VP1: So AI won't take your jobs.
VP1: We can't grow the company without batteries human beings.
VP1: Here's something cool the AI can do that a human could've taken five minutes to do already. It's a reverse image search. Isn't that great? But instead of telling a human to do that, we'll have the AI do it more and in greater numbers. Like it's a fucking Jawa.

VP2: AI can find meta data on photos! Surely a person couldn't do that already!
VP2: Also, I'm making people constantly feed prompts into the AI so I can teach it to do your job.

VP3: We've been collecting data for well over a decade and we're feeding it all to the AI. Nothing bad could possibly happen. Your jobs are, like, totally safe.

VP1: Anyway, we won't have to hire 250 people in the future because AI will be doing all of their jobs. B-but not you guys sitting in the room with us. Your jobs are totally safe.


What a waste of an hour of my life. At least it was paid time and I got free homophobic chicken out of it.

Fucking Google forced their Gemini AI into the last Android update which included co-opting THE POWER BUTTON from, you know, controlling the powet menu, to using fucking Gemini. It was simple for me to fix  on mine, but it nearly drove my mother crazy, and better yet she didn't realize it had happened until I was over four hours away on a business trip. That was a fun tech support phone conversation. Naturally it was held over her landline...there's a reason I told her to never get rid of it. And the best thing was, she showed me the next day that she couldn't use her computer because it kept throwing CoPilot in her face, so I regeditted it out of existence.

I get that AI is the next big thing, but if they'd stop trying to ram it up the world's backside without lube it'd be nice.

Too many people at work were using Copilot to make shit-posty AI art so my employer cut off Copilot's art-balls. Come on, man, making weird goofy art was like the one thing it was actually good at. You keep pushing this AI shit on us and I can't even make funny pics of my boss anymore?

Oh, yeah... So newest AI annoyance. A professional site I used filtered my search results for "drone" to show every page with the word "done". Only an AI would be this fucking stupid.
