I don't give any of them a pass, they're all garbage. No, I kid. But I don't find Amy Schumer amusing or attractive, she reminds me of Kermit's girlfriend both in personality and looks.

First episode of this season's South Park, Cartman goes on a spiel about girls not being funny. It was mean, but awesome.

Sorry, Cartman is actually assuring everyone that girls are in fact funny, but it comes across as severely sarcastic.

Still, hilarious.

How rude to Miss Piggy.

Man, I was hoping CC would have a clip online.  Unless you meant that thing where Cartman's talking to the students in the gym and asks the girls to talk about their vaginas or whatever.  Oh, never mind, you were.  I just tried to post and it loaded your second post.  Man, the Comedy Central site loads like a tub of shit.  "Brought to you by Hormel."  Well, bring it to me faster.

Watching Margaret Cho's PsyCHO.  It works less like watching a comedienne and more like watching a really weird inspiration speaker.  But, like, the kind you're forced to watch because it's being held at your job and everyone in the department's required to watch.  You have to already enjoy Cho somewhat to like it.  And here she goes... on and on about her pussy.

Saw Kathleen Madigan's latest stand-up special on Netflix.  It's actually her second latest special in general.  I guess Netflix wasn't allowed to run it until there was an even newer one because this one's 2013 and her latest is from this year.  Anyway, I don't think it was as funny as the other special that's already on there but it was pretty darn close.

Watched "Dana Carvey: Straight White Male, 60."  I admit, the title worried me a bit.  Thought he might've popped something in his brain like Dennis Miller and might start ranting about SJWs or something fuckin' weird like that.  But, no.  Same ol' Dana but nicely topical.  Fuckin' funny.  I laughed.

Also watched Michael Che Matters:

(Sorry for the poor quality of the clip below, but I like this bit and couldn't find a better version.)

Watched Jen Kirkman's latest on Netflix.  Strikes me as another female comic skating on looks.  She got a few laughs outta me.  Like her bit on catcalling.  I didn't really feel like I was watching a comedienne.  It was more like "the quirky girl at work was telling her weird stories at the water cooler again" type material.  :-\

I watched an old Night at the Improv hosted by Shatner awhile back on Youtube. It featured a big dude named Christopher Collins. It wasn't hilarious, but it was amusing. But not so much as when I heard a voice he used...I looked him up, and as it turns out I was more familiar with an alias of his: Chris Latta.

I think I knew this before, but I had forgotten it.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Larry David is hilarious. A lot of stuff he does or says are things I would totally do/say, maybe thats why I like him so much.

I tried to watch Louis C.K.'s new special on Netflix and found that I don't really care for him anymore.

Enjoyed Dave Chappelle's, though.

I struggle between still finding Louis CK kinda funny and recalling the sexual harassment accusations against him.  I did play the new special and found it good background fodder.  Nothing I paid any special attention to.  Same as I did with Amy Schumer's latest one.  I did like his Late Show appearance and his attitude concerning the Drumpf voter.  "He lied to him, he didn't lie to me."

Also saw a handful of really unfunny dudes on Netflix a couple of weeks back when I was looking for comedy to watch.  I don't remember who they were though.  I just played them a bit, got annoyed, and changed it to something else.

What do you think of him being your paisano?

I didnt know there were sexual harassment accusations going around. I mean can you trust them? Everybody seems so sue-friendly in the US especially in that Hollywood circle where everybody wants to get famous/ get that cash asap.

I never remember that until he reminds me in his stand up.  So he sorta exists in that dead space next to Mitt Romney in that regard.

They've been a pretty strong rumor.  For now, without any charges or anything substantial, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he's just probably too pervy behind-the-scenes for his own good.  On the other hand, if a Cosby-type scandal comes out about him years and years later, I won't be shocked either.

The most popular rumor was that he invites female comics and writers to his room and then starts masturbating in front of them.  Or something like that.

I'm sure the horror and disdain of the women they whip it out to adds to whatever shitty thrill those kind of guys get out of it.  Especially if they're famous and have some sort of powet or influence.  Like "I'm Steven Spielberg.  This dick directed ET."  You get the picture.  And apologies to Steven Spielberg for making him my fake example.  Unless he really did that at some point.  Then fuck you, Steven Spielberg.

I don't see any mention of me watching Dave Chapelle's latest material on Netflix even though I did that the week or so they were released.  Maybe I mentioned it in another topic.  Or I mentioned it and missed my own post.  They were decent.  4/5.

Tracy Morgan: Stayin' Alive - 4/5.
Hassan Minaj: Homecoming King. - 2/5.  He seems like a likable dude but sometimes he just borders on the pathetic and grasping for straws when it comes to some of his bits.  His set had this whole underlying narrative thing (similar to Ali Wong's Baby Cobra) and I wanted to see where it all was going so I stuck with it.  It doesn't have any rewatch value for me tho' and tho' Tracy's doesn't either, I laughed way more with him so I'm hitting Hassan with a 2.
Norm MacDonald: Hitler's Dog, Gossip & Trickery - 5/5.  I have a soft spot for Norm.  He has this really odd, flat sense of humor but it just gets me.  I'm still salty about when he was replaced with Colin Quinn on Weekend Update.  It's been twenty fuckin' years for crying out loud.

The local comedy club gives free admission to a group if one person in the group has a birthday that month, so my family a couple years ago would go to the comedy club for their birthdays. Don't know why we stopped doing that but after gramps died the family's kinda broken up a bit so whatever.

It takes a lot to get me to laugh, for some reason.
One guy I saw was named Haywood Banks. Guy who does the "Yea Toast!" song. His songs are clever but they don't make me laugh, but he does do humor in between songs during his shows, and even though he's "mostly" clean (at best it's a bunch of wink wink subtle humor), his stuff is funny.
list=PL9jRPbPkY55Bd0135RNiDeCCpP8lNyXnH
In the toast video he's drumming on a metal toaster with forks. That's the sound you hear.

Also saw Jimmy Pardo years ago. Thought he was somewhat funny.

Do youtube groups count? This one group created this series called Epic NPC Man which is damn funny.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

Norm McDonald's Netflix special was great. Some of the most enjoyable standup I've seen in a long time.

I couldn't finish Tracy Morgan's. I remember loving him on 30 Rock but his standup just didn't work for me. I can't recall what exactly it was but know I hated something about it.

Yeah, Tracy's comedy is dirtier and--though I'm not familiar with how he was pre-accident--post-accident Tracy seems increasing bitter about life in general and has a narcissism that I could see really turning people off.  I interpreted this set as a kind of therapy for him.  This versus Norm who is smiley and just riffs on random things and doesn't make all the shit he says all about himself.

I liked where he started, with just addressing the Wal-Mart stuff immediately. But it went downhill from there for me.

Watch Sarah Silverman: A Speck of Dust.  I'd say 4/5.  Saw room for improvement but it got some laughs from me.  I was gonna post the trailer for this but the trailer's pretty stupid.  A lot of haters in the comments, too.  And I don't usually use that word, "haters," but there's no other way to describe this.  Just like someone grabbed a fist full of their own diarrhea and slapped it under the comments section.

I tried to watch this, but after the first 15 mins I hadn't even smiled. Dana Carvey use to kill me. I still spout "Well isn't that special!" from time to time from his SNL days. But this did nothing for me. Kinda sad about it really.

I think he took a while to get going so there was that.  I almost shut it off partway through.
