I have a fish, poor sucker only has like a year left, top (he's a betta and I heard they only live a couple of years).]
Which reminds me a story I read last week, somewhere. This guy used to have a fish when he was little and he was always so surprised because supposedly his awesome fish used to change colours magically once in a while. He realised when he was much older what actually happened

My parents weren't able to switch out bologna without me noticing.  They wouldn't be able to pull off switching animals.

Bettas average 2-3 in captivity but can live up to 10 years if well cared for.

Well I guess my boy has 2 more years to go then. I also didn't know they come from the rice fields of this area. No wonder he was like 5 cents

I wanted to bury him but not in a house we were going to be leaving.  I knew we were leaving our old house and then the next house we moved into was temporary.  Once we moved into the house I'm in now, I buried him.

I thought the traditional fish burial was by toilet. That way you could have made him sleep with the...other fishes.
