Basically, it's tax software that you use to fill out your tax forms just by answering a few questions. It can even e-mail your tax returns out and confirm that it's been recieved.

My dad uses Turbotax. I think just anything with numbers like that puts me off.

Turbotax is pretty much idiot-proof, I'd highly recommend it considering that it also calculates you're refunds and double-checks for shit you may have missed.

Turbo Tax costs 20 bucks. An accountant starts at 50, and can suck.

I do H&R Block on line. Repeat clients who file early get the best deal - think ours was $24.95. Would have been $19.95 if I had gotten my shit together in January.

They give it back only when you've given more than they say you're suppose to. If for any reason you gave too little, you owe. It you gave enough, you don't get squat. And if you're a cute foreign rich girl, they probably try and find a way to keep it anyway.
