L.A. schools' healthful lunch menu panned by students

For many students, Los Angeles Unified's introduction of healthful lunches — part of a campaign against obesity, diabetes and other problems — has been a flop. The district says the menu will be revised.

Even at Johnny L. Cochran Jr. Middle School in Los Angeles, where, according to Barrett, students reportedly loved the food, Principal Scott Schmerelson indicated dissatisfaction. He said students were rejecting the plain milk, jambalaya, Caribbean meatballs and other new dishes.

1. If you're rejecting plain milk, you ain't that fuckin' hungry.   
2. They named a school after Johnnie Cochran?  (BTW, LA Times, that's some crackerjack journalism fuckin' up the spelling of the school.)  Anyway, that's hilarious!  Apparently, it used to be called Mount Vernon Middle School until 2006.  Fuck a Mount Vernon, naming it after "da glove don't fit" wacko is betterer.


As far as the article goes, the students actually got to taste-test stuff and it was fine.  It's kinda implied the recipes got fucked up in mass production and I believe it.

There was Chocolate sometimes. It was more of a special thing, then an everyday thing. Now by the time I was in High School, they had both all the time. Not in grade school, however.

It's just so blatantly wrong.

I mean I get why law makers don't drive out illegals completely.  Their lobbyists need slave labor.  But some of this other shit is clearly the work of people working in the interest of foreign people.  The slave labor thing is wrong too.   People need to be paid a proper wage for doing shitty jobs.  Then Americans would work them.  The compensations needs to be equal to the shittyness of the job.

I don't see what was so wrong about the way things were.  Nobody was sending INS to their homes.  They were taking their cars that were being illegally driven.  What motivation does a legal driver have anymore to have a current dl and insurance?  The dude in the article was all "i have to drive 20 miles back and forth to fry chicken".  Maybe you should move somewhere you can take a bus.  Carpool.  The guy's wife was a legal citizen (and I'm assuming a legal driver).  She should drop him off in the morning and pick him up at night.  And then Senor Illegal is all "a car is a neccessity".  No, it's not.  Millions of people have been fine with no cars.  I've never owned a car myself.  Driving is not a right.  It's especially not a right for an illegal citizen.  Either get your shit together so you can get a dl, work it out with no car, or go the fuck home to Mexico.
