First "fresh" I read:

The Muppet Movie is one of my fave movies but everything afterwards movie-wise was going downhill.  What if I previously loved the Muppets but now only like them as a friend?

I never loved the muppets as a kid, but it was watchable.

I'll see this movie...not in theaters though.

The Muppet Show was like undercover crap when I was a kid.  I'd tune in to this show with puppets that looked like the ones on Sessame Street and then they would talk about boring shit the whole time.

You must have been a boring child. It does seem you're much more fun as an adult, though.

He seems like lots of fun to me, but somethings wrong with his taste in entertainment.  I think it's cause he's canadian.

Nah, Adam's just eclectic. There's no way of knowing whether or not he'll like something based on what you know he already likes. He's all over the place.

Don't mistake lust for love!

It's just I was like 6 or whatever when I watched that show, so I had no appreciation for anything they did.

Well, you're about a hundred years older than I am, so I'm pretty sure I would have experienced The Muppet Show in reruns. I was more of a Fraggle kid, but at the time I appreciated that those shows weren't shoving kindergarten crap down my gullet every five seconds. Honestly though, most of the adult jokes would have been way over my head, so it would have been the sight gags that did it for me.

Also, that insane mash-up Christmas special that has every Muppet in existence is one of the greatest things ever.

I also mostly saw it in reruns, not that I could tell the difference at that age.  I liked Fraggle Rock much more.  I did like the Muppets Christmas special, or at least seem to remember liking it.  Not the Michael Cain one.  Some other one.

Muppet Babbies is pretty amazing too...

I loved Muppet Babies.  Probably another show tied up with ridiculous rights.

I heard it had something to do with the live action footage from movies they were known to use and that is what the hold up is.

It's so silly.  Assuming they had the right to use the clips in the first place, it shouldn't be a big damn deal to add a fee and get that shit on DVD and streaming.

I imagine it is one of those "cost to use to clips doesn't outweigh the profit that they'd make off the DVDs" kinda things. I mean I know there was some SW footage used. Back when Henson was alive, and Lucas still had a soul I'm sure he let him use it for pennies. Now he'd probably want so much that any Muppet Babies DVD would have to be on the market for like a decade before it made profit.

If they paid for the TV rights, that does not infer right to use in home video.  This is the same thing everyone ran in to with music when DVD started to get big.  No one secured the rights to use music in home video, so when they wanted to do a video release the music copyright holders were able to set their price.  This meant that a few shows could not afford to be released at all, while others had to remove key songs and replace them with other music.

And the prices being placed are silly.  So many things will never see daylight again because of this.

Fox News suggests you avoid the muppets movie, good ranking on RT or not.

Apparently, the Muppets are liberal socialists.

If Fox News had any kind of credibility with me, it just died a violent death, like a deer on railroad tracks being hit by a train. Fox News is run by nutjobs.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

Must only be certain kind of animals.
I'm pretty sure sheep are safe, otherwise the male population of Scotland would have died off centuries ago
