My mom and I were at Wal-mart doing some grocery shopping. Normally, Wal-mart is a crazy circus, but everything seemed crazier today.

The debit machine dingers weren't working, and I guess it's like that all over the state.

Like, ATM's are down, some computers are and stuff, I don't know.

But if it's terrorists, why Iowa? What do we have that you want? Corn?

Nothing reported on it in Kansas. This is the first I've heard of it. Maybe Walmart had a computer problem....

I think some of the grocery stores in Wichita had that sort of problem about a month ago. People got pissed off because they had to pay in cash because of some sort of Internet problem that made it impossible to do card transactions. Not even the ATM machines were working.

Just the other day, my card got rejected at Wal-Mart. Merla used hers (from a different bank, but still a bank card with a Mastercard logo) and it took it. So I had buy her food when we went to the grocery store to pay her back.

At work all our credit transactions are handled at a central location, so if that central location goes down, all the Rite Aids in the region are unable to process credit.

It might have been satelite problems too. Maybe terrorists or aliens are hijacking our satelites to use against us.
