So by the end of the month I'm finally gtfo and moving to Tokyo! Everybody here is more than welcome to come visit. Except D and IDE.  The only thing I'm dreadful of (besides not remembering the language at ALL from when i studied it years ago) is that all the girls there are so thin and I'm with this horrible post pregnancy body and God KNOWS I have HUGE body image issues. Lol he (and i did too, before getting preggers) does ninjutsu. Do it just be careful since there is a huge amount of weaboos roaming around and doing ninjutsu, so most people that get in for the art HAAATE those guys

Well that's understandable, but was his motivation to uproot his whole family and move half way across the world to one of the largest and most expensive cities because of the job, or because he wanted to indulge his hobby? (And unless he is a professional ninja, it is a hobby. No matter how serious he takes it.) You implied it was for the latter, and that's what I mean. I've never had the kinda money that would make something like that possible. It is enough of a worry to make sure the health insurance is paid on time. Moving to the other side of the world wouldn't even be a gleam in my eye. And if I was ever rich enough to do that, my extended period of being poor as hell would make me see such an expense as wasteful. Even if I had enough money to do it five times over in the bank. Same reason people that lived through the great depression save everything, even though they no longer have too.

Well he's half japanese and before he came (to get his master) he lived there for 11 years. Also, he only needs to pass one more test and he'll be able to teach the martial art . He takes ninjutsu veeeeery seriously (he doesn't like to call it ninjutsu since it attracts people that only want to practice it cause of the "stereotype") and one of his plans is to open a dojo in the future.
Anyways, we are living in New York City already, theres not too much difference on expenses between here and Tokyo.
