And yes, I routinely hiccup for several hours at a time. It's not alarming, just annoying and, by the end, kind of painful.

Yes I do. Hence why I know that hiccups sometimes can mean that he/she has acid reflux. I'm just bs-ing him. But I kind of remember hearing a case about some dude that died cause of hiccups.
