Let me preface this by saying I except time travel in the Terminator series simply because robots are fucking awesome and it was part of my childhood from before I understood shit to some palpable level.

What happened?

They time traveled to the 1940s, and then a doctor from the 40s came forward with them and they ended up in an alternate time line where some stuff was different.

The problem? They are still the people they were before the shit hit the fan. This is a problem. Why? Because in the timeline they went to, there was nothing that caused them to go the past, therefore they did not, therefore the doctor never came with them to the future, therefore none of this fucking shit should have happened.

The reason this is truly infuriating is that in a previous season they explained exactly why this shit can not fucking happen, and they did so logically and I was happy (and then my room mate who I am watching through the series with tells me I will be pissed off later).

For the most part I am excepting it as a plot device to move the show along, but GOD DAMN FUCKING SHIT I HATE THIS BULLSHIT TIME TRAVEL CAN NOT FUCKING WORK THAT WAY YOU STUPID FUCKS WITH YOUR FUCKING FUCK SHIT WRITING!

Lord of the Rings: The Animated Film.

This thing had no end. It just covers The Fellowship of the Ring and the Two Towers. It ends with the battle of Helm's Deep. Apparently there was suppose to be another film, but United Artist wouldn't shell out the money for it despite this one making it's money back ten fold.

He mentioned the Color of Magic twice, so I felt like he was trying to promote it.

I actually read the Color of Magic to get a taste for Terry Pratchett's Discworld stuff, and I did not like it. Given, it was the first one, and I'm sure he's improved over the years, but it totally soured me on the idea of reading anything else by him, and there's plenty of other stuff I'd rather be reading anyway.

Anyway, as little as I liked the book, I loathed the made-for-television thingy, which combines the first two books. I'll never understand why Samwise Gamgee would slum it in such an obvious pile of dung.

No. Somehow this thing had never found it's way to my TV in all my years. Which I do admit is surprising. I did however, on one snow day from school in the 80's see the animated version of The Hobbit.

I've never seen it, either. Then again, I never got into LOTR until the first DVD came out right before Two Towers. And the fact that TT had no real ending forced me to speed-read the books.
