No clue, anime doesn't do it for me.
I said its hot outside let me go swimming in your eyes;
We been running for awhile. Why don't you lay dow, I'll make you smile.
I could never ask for nothing better than this;
It's just tequila and the beach, it's quite salty when we kiss.

Gankutsuou?  Merla (a Monte Cristo fan, I should add) and I loved it.  Has its deviations of course but was more faithful to the story than the Depardieu live-action one, that's for sure.  Is was also pretty to look at it.

Depardieu is a great actor, but that nose of his is distracting. It looks like he'd use it to root in the dirt for truffles or something. Prime candidate for a nose job if I ever saw it.

And I'm not surprised over the 4 part miniseries being all romantic and crap... it's France, everything has to be about love or sex over there....
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

That's not true. They take time out of love and sex to drink and surrender.

Those weren't really the major problems with it.  I had no issue with them wanting to focus on the more romantic aspects of a body of work, but adding in some non-existent character to that end and changing the ending is a no-no.

Anyway, yeah, his nose is huge.  Judging by his earlier work, it apparently bloated with age.

His casting as Cyrano de Bergerac was either utterly inspired or blatantly obvious. Whichever, he was nominated for an Academy Award for his work as the titular character.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Nowadays its all about the looks, come on. Do you think Daniel Radcliffe got chosen as HP for being a good actor? or that bitch from Twilight?? If it comes from a book, looks will have the upper hand

They picked him because he looked almost exactly like the book cover illustrations. It was uncanny.

Obviously, that was the point of my previous post. If its about a book, they'll try to choose whoever looks the closest to the character.

It is an important distinction. Finding someone who looks correct for the part AND can act is damn near impossible. Finding someone who is pretty is pretty easy.

Just a casual mention on the website.

Eight teens shot in Gary
from: http://www.post-trib.com/news/2087665,gshoot06.article

Quote
Eight teenage boys suffered gunshot wounds late Friday night while exiting a popular Gary skating rink where they were attending a concert.
Gary Police Cpl. Gabrielle King said Saturday "all chaos broke loose" when a fight broke out during the event and security advised attendees to leave Skate World, 4415 W. 5th Ave. in the Commons shopping center.

King said no arrests have been made.

One of the victims told police he was shot in the stomach by a male black holding a rifle. He said the man was wearing a red hat and had dreadlocks.

The wounded were transported to Methodist Hospitals Northlake in Gary, St. Catherine's Hospital in East Chicago and St. Margaret Mercy in Hammond.

Another victim said he was with a group of friends and they were asked to leave to avoid a fight with a group of males he didn't know. He said the suspects confronted him in the parking lot and someone started shooting. The teen suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg and was taken to St. Margaret.

Another victim told police he was inside Skate World and the crowd became disorderly. Security told the crowd to exit and when he stepped outside, he was shot in the left leg.

Police identified the wounded as: Shaquille Hughes, 15, shot in right side; Marcus Ratliff,14, shot in right wrist; Justin Bodley, 16, shot in the leg; Junan Washington, 18, shot in left ankle; DaVonte Biddings, 16, shot once in< back; Marquel Croock, 16, shot in stomach;Kesean Philon, 14,shot in leftleg; Stephan Danzy, 17, shot in left leg.

Gary police are still investigating the incident.

[racism]I didn't even know they COULD iceskate.[/racism] Seriously, though. I didn't.
