I never cared for the way iTunes ripped and organized mp3s since it was far from my preferred media player (that honor belonging to Media Player Classic). It's bloated and, when I tried it, doesn't handle conversion of video to iPod spec very well, either.
And it didn't recognize songs I add to my folders unless I rebuilt the library every time. Now, apparently there's a helper app that does this, and Amazon's little program updates it, too, but it's too late now.
Adding the fact that it installs Quicktime to the computer...FTS.
