I woke up when my alarm rang. I needed two more minutes. I woke up two hours later. Where are my other 118 minutes? Who stole them!?

I always set my alarm to go off in 5 minute intervals after I'm originally supposed to wake up. Cellphones are so much better than alarm clocks.

I have two alarm clocks in my room and one out in the living room. The one next to my head goes off first. 5 minutes later, the one on the other side of the room goes. 3 minutes after that, one out in the living room goes off.

And if it's really important, I'll also set my cell phone to go off next to my ear somewhere in that cycle.

They all have varing snooze durations, too, so after a few hits, it gets rather unpredictable.

I've done that with phone watch and alarm clock. Becomes very annoying, but works.

I never considered the usefulness of a cellphone alarm before.

Anyway, I was just being ranty. I didn't take the job fair seriously. This crap never happens to me once I'm employed or have school to go to. School started at my old uni today. I feel a little sad to be missing it.

The last job fair I went to was complete ass and it took forever to get to. I have a list of most of the employers, so I'm gonna look them up on teh internets and see if I can apply like that.

I've only been to one job fair and it got me a start in my newly selected career area which I had only started training for less than six months prior.

My current cell has a horrendous wakeup siren. It snaps me from dreams to the point I wake up confused and disoriented yet focused on destroying the phone.

I love my iPhone app (iPhone has shitty alarms) which helps me sleep, Rain Sounds. There is a fire a forest one, though I really haven't used those. I love the aps.

Macs are perhaps the worst computers I've ever tried to use. They aren't as good as everyone says, and the interface is so different why would you put up with all the crap? To be trendy and cool.

But seriously, the iPod and iPhone they did right.

I quit updating my iPod because iTunes sucks so badly. Not only is it a pain in the ass to use by itself, but forget adding files to it you rip from CD yourself. And the hassle of transferance necessitated by going through three primary computers over an 8 month period...I'm not doing it. So my iPod hasn't been updated since shortly after I got it back in '06, and it hasn't seen much use in the 1 1/2 years since I got my mp3 playing MotoV9 phone.

Merla's iPod went kaput and apparently what she would have to pay for an iPod Phoenix Down wasn't worth it, so she bought some other mp3 thing. iPods are sooooo cute, too. But no way in hell can I place myself at the mercy of iTunes. What was the problem with mp3s you ripped yourself?

I never cared for the way iTunes ripped and organized mp3s since it was far from my preferred media player (that honor belonging to Media Player Classic). It's bloated and, when I tried it, doesn't handle conversion of video to iPod spec very well, either.

And it didn't recognize songs I add to my folders unless I rebuilt the library every time. Now, apparently there's a helper app that does this, and Amazon's little program updates it, too, but it's too late now.

Adding the fact that it installs Quicktime to the computer...FTS.

Don't hate Mac, just iTunes. Besides, OSX is a good warmup system for you to get used to before you upgrade to a Leapfrog.
