Ditto if only because not tanking would've prolonged Michael Cera's career.

Boo on you for not liking it! Boo I say! Although I do think it would have been better without Micheal Cera. I agree with you on that.

I saw Tron today...They were only showing it 3D. Which was bullshit, but it's a long trip to the movie theater from my house and so I saw it anyway. The glasses where all messed up and gave me a massive headache. Actually it might be my eyes and not the 3D that wasn't working right, but all I saw were 3D elements that didn't combine right and it looked like there was a glare on the screen all the time. The most impressive 3D was actually in the preview for the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. But there was lots of sword pointing there.

And about 30 mins of this movie wasn't even in 3D. I didn't even put my glasses on till he got to Tron world. They tried to do this whole Wizard of Oz thing where all the real world stuff was in 2D and Tron world stuff was in 3D. So I just pushed my glasses up on my head till the screen got fuzzy.

The movie wasn't bad...it was fun to look at, but predictable. We weren't trying to shatter the mold story wise. The CGI young Jeff Bridges was good...at a distance, if he didn't talk. Problem was there was like a bunch of close ups and he talked constantly. So it was real clear it was CGI when he did that. And Tron was barely in this thing at all...the guy who played Tron was in the movie a lot, but just not as Tron. BAH! The Light Fighter where cool though.

I think CG young Jeff Bridges looked a little bit like Christian Bale when he talked.

Speaking of Jeff Bridges, I took The Men Who Stare At Goats as a white elephant gift and it was a popular item for the stealing. Also, True Grit looks like a lot of fun.

I saw Toy Story 3 the other day and whoever said it was as good as the first one was wrong.  It's a solid movie, don't get me wrong, but solid in a "wouldn't be adverse to buying it with the other two in a cheaply-priced box set" way and not in the "oh boy, I'm gonna watch this again and again and recommend it to everyone I know" way.  Also, the Jesse/Buzz romance contributed nothing to the story other than the awkwardness of watching two toys having the hots for each other.

Did you like District 9? A group of us went to watch it all at once, and most of them hated it. They said it wasn't what they expected (based on the trailers) but that doesn't mean it's not a good movie. Fuck people.

I love District 9! went to see it to the theaters. I think its much better than Avatar (I'm making the comparison cause I went to see both movies when preggers and it was uncomfortable but totally worth it with D9, NOT avatar)

Did you watch Avatar in 3D? Yeah, I would have suggested against that while gesticulating.

I don't get why they can't see past their preconceived misconceptions. I like it, still.

The major thing I didn't like about Scott Pilgrim was Cera as the lead. How someone that dorky and shy can suddenly do kung-fu and kick everyone's ass is beyond me.

And then there was Ramona. She's hot in the movie. But then I look up her info online, and she suddenly becomes not hot:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0935541/
http://www.google.com/images?q=Mary+Elizabeth+Winstead&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=GgwUTdewCJrtnQfK1rGQDg&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CC8QsAQwAA&biw=950&bih=639

Okay, some of those pictures are kinda hot, like the third one. But she ends up looking like a generic run of the mill supermodel. Nothing special, nothing I can't find at Miss USA or Playboy.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Oh, and to add to the actual topic, I saw Hellraiser 1 and 2. But this was back during Halloween.

Best 80s horror movies ever, though. I swear. Compared to the teen slasher shit that's 90% of the horror shit back in the 80s through today (Jason, Saw, Scream, Freddy), this movie series is actually pretty awesome. And the villians actually creep me out.

I actually wanted to go as Pinhead for Halloween. "Angels to some, demons to others!"

I don't think any of it is a spoiler.  The one event I mention specifically was pretty much foreshadowed in the trailers.

OMG yes.  I think it would have been different if we were shown that video games and kung-fu were the only two things in the world he was any good at but he just looked terrible at EVERYTHING expect playing half-way decent guitar which only came into play like two freakin' times.

I saw some Star Trek movie.  The one where those people were going to be taken off of the planet or something and the ugly ones they were fighting were the children from their world or some shit.  Merla's been marathoning them so I didn't really see the whole thing.

Nemesis...almost as bad. Ironically I'm watching the original Star Trek Series and it is awesome. Well except it's on DVD and it's the version were they replaced all the old ships with new CGI shots.

I think Merla may have already gone through OG Trek earlier this year.  Or last year.  So she's going through TNG movies and ST:TAS.

Why the hell has VG cats changed their look?

I saw Toy Story 3 and Voyage of the Dawn Treader. TS3 was a good ending for that series. And no it didn't make me cry.

As for the other movie, I still have to page through the book to find out what those fucks in hollywood changed from the book to the movie. I swear, "Creative License" should be a banned word, and all who utter it should be executed in the most painful manner.
