Has anyone seen this wonderful show back when it aired on FX? The critics loved it and it had great ratings. The second season suffered both from a lack of promotion (and FX's refusal to air repeats of it's own show but will show the same episode of That 70s Show 4 times daily) and the 2008 writers strike. A lengthy state in limbo spelled doom for the show, confirmed by one of the actors.
The show starred Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver (awesome actors) and a stellar cast about Irish Gypsies who happen into another families life and use their con-skills to maintain that life for their kid's future. It was a wonderful show, but it was cancelled. Eddie Izzard hinted about a possible movie being written to conclude the show (unlike other shows, the second season was never finished, and the last episode ended on a cliffhanger). Now a year has passed and the second season recently came out on DVD.
FX has started to air the first season on Saturday nights @ 1am. What? They don't air any of their other shows' repeats except the week the new episodes come out. Why the hell would they air reruns of a cancelled show? It gives me hope.
