Happy Halloween.
« on: Oct 31, 2008, 01:59:02 PM »
Or whatever.

I wish I could decorate the board as easily as I used to be able to.  Oh well.

Tonight my plans consist of shutting off the front lights and willing the children to go away.  The neighborhood's a bit on the shitty side, so they usually seem to flock elsewhere anyway.

I'm dressing up as Brock Sampson and bringing law to the lawless.

My friend I'm going out with doesn't even know who Brock is.  He's from the frat and not really into the whole adult swim thing.  He thought brock was carl from aquateens.  This is why I need more geeky friends...though his ability to be my wingman does outweigh us being able to discuss whether or not Han shot first.

We been running for awhile. Why don't you lay dow, I'll make you smile.
I could never ask for nothing better than this;
It's just tequila and the beach, it's quite salty when we kiss.

My Halloween was suppose to be a marathon of fritght that included "The Exorcist", "Rosemary's Baby", "Frankenstein Meets the Monster From Hell" (Gotta love Hammer Horror) and "Dracula" (The Coppla one....not the Lugosi one.) but instead I ended up watching the MST3K episode Warriors of the Lost World....which was pretty scary its self...just not on purpose.

Zing!

I've been meaning to do a marathon of old scary movies or something for Halloween, but I always forget.  Didn't help that I have a shitload of schoolwork's that's coming up due.

Oh, and someone tell me:  They picked "The Wizard Of Oz" as their Halloween theme over at work.  FTW.  Since when is that movie a fucking Halloween movie?  I asked some people at the office and they were "they show it every year".  Yeah, around Thanksgiving.  So it has witches, so what?  Harry Potter has witches and ghosts and that isn't very Halloweeny either.  That's such a tame, lukewarm, completely safe theme.  I wish the department was ballsy enough to pick Freddy or Jason or zombies as a theme.  Boring.  And I had to pass out fliers with some yellow brick road crap on them.

I got turned into a vampire and went to a house party on Friday, but I had to work a double on Saturday so I didn't get too drunk.  Then Saturday I went to a Day of the Dead party my boyfriend's band was playing at with a local salsa band.  I got to dress up again and drink tequila.  Woo!
The wife forgave the mistress for she only entertained.

Me and Kary went to Japanese class in costume, the plastered the campus with a friend with flyers for a party she's hosting. We're like interns for her, but not really since all we do is hang out with her whenever she's around. I wish we got paid.

Then we went out to eat Japanese food (Japanese class = Japanese food), which led to her costume being too tight and Kary had to help her in the bathroom fix her corset. Supposedly she was naked with Kary touching her and I missed it. :(

Then we met up with friends at Dave and Busters and drank the night away while singing Kareoke and playing games. What was great was I didn't even pay for drinks, which was awesome. I love drinkin on someone else's dime.

Like you said I'm sure it' was "safe" and "PC". If they really wanted to do a  theme that was shown every Halloween and had plenty of Characters they could have picked from, they should have picked the  movie which has graced my Avatar for all of October in honor of Halloween...The Rocky Horror Picture Show. But since that movie is full of Cross Dressing, Bi-sexuals, Murder, and Orgies it's far from Safe. But the first half of that movie...all the way up to when the Doctor Beds his Creation is the most fun I've ever had watching a movie. The 2nd half lags a little, but it has to live up to first half which it can't.

I tried to watch some of it...but Live Events are always kinda boring. There is a reason they stay all night at a place but show you 2 investigations in an hour. It's a lot of waiting around for something to happen.

I met up with some friends and we went bar hopping.  I wasn't planning on going out, so I didn't have a costume.  Instead I just stole my friend's skull mask.

And I destroyed everyone in darts.  I believe one game of Cricket I had everyone else outscored by at least 500%.

However, I think I'm slowly getting over my aversion to actually dressing up for Halloween.  Next year, I think I'll be Super Grover.  Helmet, blue t-shirt w/ emblem, red shorts, cape, and fuzzy blue sleeves and maybe pants that I'll make myself.  Go go sewing skills.

I dressed up as a vampire and went to an all day party where we watched horror anime and AMV hell 3.

Some guy's notebook was stolen right out of the area. Some random black dude walked in, grabbed it, and took off with it, even with a dozen people in an adjacent room watching TV. In Soviet Detroit, Laptop Steals YOU! :/
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

The bitches WERE Banging. One of the girls was wearing a short skirt and a "Sexy" Griffindor blouse with extra cleavage.

Between the second hurricane aftermath of "I didn't get as much money as I wanted and it's YOUR fault!" at my office and our new dog, we did a Halloween party.  Smoked salmon plates and potato soup went over well and it didn't rain a drop.

Integrated Molly into a very dog-aggressive pack in a week.  I'm pretty proud of that.  Of course, maybe it was just all her charm and wits.  Got a call from a neighbor on Monday saying she was running up the street.  Little shit jumped over the 4-foot tall pet gate separating her daytime room from the cat's hideout, went to a window that was up about 2", raised it with her teeth and hopped out into the front yard.  She figured out windows very quickly - I saw her lift one with the handle near the floor - never dreamed she would figure out one above her head, but she got up on a chair.  Can't say I wasn't warned about border collies.
Tortures end me,
Death befriends me.
Of all the pains, the greatest pain
is to love, and love in vain.

The people with the photos haven't posted them on their myspace, and the leader of the club says the girl with the camera is a huge drunk and hasn't sent them yet so no fanservice for a while.
