My rail-thin paternal grandfather has diabetes, D - so did my modelesque former sister-in-law (too bad it wasn't the bitchy one).   Weight can be a factor, but heredity is more so.  As a silver lining, a diabetic diet is one of the healthiest one can follow - not too different from the one I do as borderline hypoglycemic.   My two annoyances were having to limit caffeine & alcohol and get used to eating small meals more often - I was really bad about getting involved in something and skipping meals or using coffee as a meal.

What's boring about having high blood sugar and having to prick myself once a day, not eat sugary foods, diet, and take lots of drugs.

Guess it's only boring if it's about me. So that would mean my great aunt in St Louis that was 100 years old and I knew well dying yesterday would be boring too. You know, since you're not the one having to make last minute flight plans. Like it's boring since you're not the one monitoring your blood sugar levels.

Shit My grandfather has diabetes, I hope I never get it! I love sweets too much. Oh wait nevermind, if I don't eat at least a little sugar during the day I get these mild hyperglicrmic attacks, so I guess I'm off the hook. Fuck yeah!
