Yeah, I know what you mean.  This is just getting silly.  Has anyone else looked at the stats here?  He's the second highest topic starter.  Bernie is third and has started about two-thirds fewer topics.  I love topics about crap as much as anyone, but go blog.  Bitching about free membership cards?  Then don't get them in the first place!

After the mention of Squirrel's board, a thought came to me about making an account there too,  because I think I'm one of the few people here that don't have an account at that board as well.

Well, one of the last topics I posted was about Pirate Day and Renaissance clothing, and the second topic died quickly. I have yet to see Bernie in any wench outfits.

Until I get electricity and a washer back, I'm not putting on anything that can't be washed in the kitchen sink and hung outside. 

On the plus side, I've lost 7 lbs. since Ike hit, and this is according to the sadistic scales at the doctor's office.  I had thought that things were feeling loose because I wasn't putting them in the dryer. Queso and chips this weekend!

There was a reason for the weight loss.  My annual doc visit on Wednesday turned up an intestinal bacterial infection that they've seen a few of; possibly from ingesting tap water while it was still iffy after the storm. (While showering??  Who knows....) On a week's worth of metronidazole - sounds like something Carson Kressley would take - and therein lies Ike's final cruelty....

NO ALCOHOL FOR A WEEK!!!

It has to do with your email settings...it tried to render the link in HTML but didn't know how to handle the PHP stuff.  You must have cut and pasted the text link to activate the account, which is good, as even bots know how to activate their accounts
