Issue 1: A friend of mine just got back from playing minor league ball in Amarillo for the summer and related to me an interesting story. When asked by a girl, a college graduate at that, where he was from, he replied, "Wisconsin." To which she replied, in all honesty, "Where's that?" When he explained that it was a state she asked where. Then she seemed unable to understand that it was to the north of Texas, apparently believing that Texas takes up the entire middle of the country.

Now my dad, who used to do a lot of business travelling down there and to Mexico, once brought back a postcard featuring an image titled "A Texans view of the United States" in which Texas did indeed take up the entire middle of the country with the other states pushed over to the sides or combined into vague identities like "Bunch of little states". I had no idea it was so true.

Issue 2: Why the hell is the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce sending me email trying to get me to move there?

Texas also has a provision in its 1845 U.S. annexation that would have allowed it to break up into 5 separate states if it weren't for the U.S. Constitutional forbidding it.

I'm fucking sick of these mexicans filling out Universal Studio promotion forms in Laredo. They have the money to pay the registration fee but they have no intention of doing anything with that money except sending it back to mexico. I can't wait till we have robots that do menail labor. I'd say mexico would be fucked at that point but they'll probably be poised to take over the united states by then. But they'll be in for surprise! Those robots aren't just good for menial labor paco! Prepare to face the mechanized wrath of your dwindling population white overlords! Hopefully we'll also have evolved pointy ears and glowing eyes by then too.

Some kid came out on the Tyra Banks show a while back and in the course of conversation with other kids, he was all "there's nothing but white people in Texas". Dumbshit. I assume there's so much stupid here because it's such a large state.
