you gotta love it when marching band starts and you're forced to march on the burning hot asphalt of the parking lot becuase the football field 'can't be disturbed' until games. it's almost as if not using the football field will make our team suck less. oh wait...

it's even better when we get hassled by our director when we're all dead tired from the heat and the whole 'marching from 9-5' thing because we're not enthusiastic enough! just shove it up your ass, ed.

yeah, we're like last in our division. that's division 4, which is the last division you can be in. all in all, we're sort-of fantastic.

I miss band camp. I was in color guard, we did 3x the work that the band did.

We were only allowed to use the field on a few select days. They were afraid that we'd tear it up, but the football left divots so big, I was afraid of stepping in them.

I prefered concert band... Marching sucks because Souzaphone + tight wool uniforms + hot ass sun = bad times.

i play clarinet in concert band and orchestra...and alto sax in the jazz and marching bands. a 'band nerd' by anyone's standards. but i'm proud of my convictions.

My highschool's band owned. Our tropy cases were chock full of actual trophies and blue ribbons ^_^

The sport's case (note, case) lacked trophies from the past 20 years, and the only notes of merit were from the girls basketball team, which placed 2nd 3 years in a row.

yeah, our only claim to fame sports-wise is our girls soccer team. division 2 state champions 3 years out of the past 5.
