Out of that list I'd only say Possum Kingdom was a hit. It topped out at #9 on the charts. While Away and Push the hand charted they didn't break the top twenty.

And besides using a guy who also knows who Dschinghis Khan is as your proof of Hit powet is shakey ground.

The common guy off the street might vaguely remember the song Possum Kingdom (more the song, not the title) if they were a full of angst teen in the 90s, I doubt they'd know much more about Toadies. Hell Oasis blows the Toadies away in sheer hit powet, but I still have to endure "Oh yeah...I liked Wonderwall." all the time. I love the band, but I don't try to pretend they were more then what they were. A UK britpop band riding the wave, who has now lost all relevance in the US.

Well you can say all that... except the Toadies are still played on the radio and present on Guitar Hero. :p

So is Oasis. Maybe not on a station you listen too..but Toadies arn't played ones I listen too so it goes both way.

Oh and "Some Might Say" is confirmed playable song on Guitar Hero World Tour...so they arn't left out there either. And their new album drops in Oct.

Old bands....laugh if you want, but Ronnie James Dio blew me away Saturday and he's sixty-fucking-three.  Loooong time since I've seen him live - shame on me for being nervous about how he'd sound.  Rob Halford sounded great as well, but then, he's only 56.  He appeared at the top  of the set stairs in this silver mylar Cher-looking thing at the beginning in accordance with JP's "Nostradamus" concept album and part of the lights screwed up.  I was afraid girlfriend was going to trip on that evening gown.

*Likes Toadies*........well Rubberneck at least. Only album of theirs I've owned and I've never heard songs off any of their others cause like I said..they don't play them. Last Toadies song I heard on the Radio was Possum Kingdom about ohhhhhhhhhhhh.....1998 I'd say.

Radio now stinks anyways. Whenever I put on the 'modern' rock station here it's always ozzie or GnR, or other 90s stuff. To listen to new music I chell billboard to see what's being released, then download the album. My iPod is my radio. I can't wait to go up north where there's 5 different modern rock stations. *squee*

Yeah I agree there. Except I don't have an iPod so I just pick CDs from bands I know I like when they come out and maybe something good gets to me from time to time.
