Gunman shoots up church because he hates gays, blacks, liberals, and democrats

This guy walks into a Unitarian church during a children's play and starts mowing people down with a shotgun. His reasons for killing people was because he hated liberals, blamed liberals and democrats for his unemployment and for the country being screwed up, and said that all liberals must die and he must be the one to do it.

Obviously he's a psycho, but it makes me wonder if conservatism, Republicans, and the right wing are partially to blame for this. A lot of conservative bullshit seems to be blaming liberals and democrats for EVERYTHING (if a conservative is caught soliciting sex in an airport bathroom, the liberals made him do it), and spouting off crap as if Liberals are evil, anti God, satanists, against Jesus, and all that bull.

I guess that makes it all right to ignore the passage in Exodus 20 that says "Thou shalt not murder." (not thou shalt not kill, since it's apparently all right to stone someone to death if they're a witch or adulterer)

I find it also ironic (and I'd love to rub this in the face of all those conservative gun advocates) that no one in that church had a gun (who would take a gun to church?), and although he was able to kill two people due to the element of suprise, once everyone noticed him, they were able to jump him and subdue him easily without using a gun or deadly force.

Now excuse me while I go spend the rest of the day checking a couple places for a job.

Most lunatic dickheads like this latch onto an idealogy like a Titantic looking for an iceberg.  His wife dumped him because he threatened to shoot them both - obviously the fault of liberals, gays, etc.   Unfortunately, the material he was reading tended to focus on one aspect to blame for all ills, which is very appealing to those who are unhappy and can't determine why.

Unitarians are pretty cool and accepting people.  Ironically, they probably would have welcomed him and all his problems with open arms.

Speaking as the resident religious fanatic, Unitarians are about as theologically Christian as my German shepherd...but it's no reason to shoot them.  That would be like shooting the dog for barking...or you for being an imbecile.

This guy was a whacko who wanted someone to die for his misery.  Conservatism is about as culpable for this as John Carmack is for Columbine.  To lay it even partially at the feet of people with a political ideology you disagree with and blame for your and everyone else's problems only serves to put your own persecution complex on display and is an illogical and irrational attempt to justify yourself. 

Others here have said it before--golly gee, I've said it on several occasions, myself--but it bears repeating once more for emphasis:  YOU ARE AN EPIC IDIOT.  That's the real reason you don't have a job, and I predict that, when you die--which is regrettable but necessary--you will do so poor and alone.

Maybe I'm just sick of all the damn conservatives blaming liberals for all the problems in the world. The gunman of course made his own decision to kill people, and I doubt anyone would have been able to talk him out of it, but considering he was a big fan of liberal haters like Michael Savage and read books and listened to anti-liberal radio shows, it gave him a target for his hate and anger. If he wasn't into that kind of shit, he might have shot up a bunch of mexicans or blacks or something.

I hate the finger pointing in politics, no one in government ever seems to want to take responsibility for anything and ends up blaming the other party or ideology. Conservatives and liberals blame each other, republicans and democrats blame each other. I see it most from the conservative side with their constant liberal bashing and blaming liberals for terrorism, 9/11, the recession, gas prices, slavery, the Great Depression, mexican immigrants, WWII, global warming, and high crime rates. It's this kind of attitude that gives idiots like the killer a target for their hatred. "Hate the other side" seems to be the easiest thing to do.

OTTAWA (AFP) — Police charged a suspect Friday with unpremeditated murder in the horrific stabbing, beheading and gutting of a fellow bus passenger returning home from a carnival in Western Canada.

Vince Weiguang Li, 40, of Edmonton faces a charge of second-degree murder, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced.

The victim was 22 years old, police said. Friends identified him as Tim McLean, a happy-go-lucky young man who was returning home to Winnipeg from a job as a carnival worker in Edmonton.

According to reports, McLean had been listening to music and texting friends and family, his cheek pressed against the window of the bus when his assailant struck suddenly, stabbing him repeatedly in the chest with a "big Rambo knife."

The other 34 passengers and the driver were jolted by "blood-curdling screams" and fled, bracing the door on their way out to trap the assailant inside the bus, witness Garnet Caton told public broadcaster CBC....


The suspect, described as a large man wearing sun glasses, had been on the bus for only an hour and did not sit near McLean at first, said Caton.

During a stop, the suspect smoked a cigarette and then moved to the back of the bus to find an empty seat next to McLean, stowing his bags in an overhead bin, he said.

Half an hour later, he struck.

The bus driver, hearing screams, pulled to the side of the road and opened the door.

Passengers scrambled over one another, according to witnesses cited by the Globe and Mail newspaper. An elderly woman was knocked to the floor. A mother seated at the rear threw her toddler several rows forward to get the child away from danger.

When Caton and two others returned to chell on the victim, he said they saw the attacker "cutting the guy's head off and gutting him."

"While we were watching ... he calmly walked up to the front (of the bus) with the head in his hand and the knife and just calmly stared at us and dropped the head right in front of us."

"There was no rage in him and he wasn't swearing or cursing or anything, it was just like he was a robot or something."

Moments later, police surrounded the bus and arrested the man after a nearly three-hour standoff, an official said. "He was taunting police with the head in his hand out the window," said Caton.

The suspect eventually jumped out of a broken window of the bus parked on the side of the desolate highway, and was subdued by police, RCMP Sergeant Steve Colwell told a press conference.
