Stargate movies
« on: Jul 28, 2008, 04:14:34 PM »
I've noticed that two Stargate DVD movies have come out lately. I'm just finding it strange that they'd come out with straight-to-dvd movies one right after another. Having watched little of the show, and only now starting to show a little interest, I have no idea what's going on, all I know is that the current plot involves some Catholic-like aliens conquering planets in the name of their religion which they claim is the "truth, the light and the way." Is the series ending and the movies are a continuation of the series, or is the series continuing and the movies are just side plots that are only partially related to the series?
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

I just hate the Ori.

Second movie woulda been great had they just undid all the goa'uld they killed and launched into a new series.
I said its hot outside let me go swimming in your eyes;
We been running for awhile. Why don't you lay dow, I'll make you smile.
I could never ask for nothing better than this;
It's just tequila and the beach, it's quite salty when we kiss.

I saw The Ark of Truth and wasn't impressed at all. I hated the Ori too. Just the goa'uld in different clothes. I was glad when the show ended. It was like a lame horse...it needed to put down.

Definately. I knew the series was in trouble when they killed Heru-Ur.

I look at the Ark of Truth as the ending to a mediocre story arc. That's basically what it was.
I want to see continuum though. Haven't had a chance.

I don't want it to be easy, I want it to be right.

Don't you mean the series was in trouble when RDA left?

Even before then, it was starting to suffer.

Do see, it's great and no mention of the Ori.
