I'm in a board with a bunch of comic book nerds....

And I don't see ONE Iron Man thread in here! Either you guys amazingly haven't seen it, or you hated it so bad you refuse to comment on it.

My own opinion is that I would sell my soul to satan for that suit on the promise I'd be able to use it to fight evil and terrorism and kick serious ass with it.

Although, the movie really needed more scenes with the suit in action kicking ass. Not enough battles for me. Do I smell... dare I say... a SEQUEL?

The answer is D!

Caspian was all right but of course not as good as the first movie. The most annoying part of the movie was dealing with everyone's accents (Especially Caspian's "I'm hot and foreign and I have an accent" accent) which made it hard to catch what some people said at times.

I also find it odd that a kid's book series from the 30's is more violent than many book series today. Maybe the problem is that we over-censor our kids books to over protect our children. With every school district out there at risk of being sued by nutcase parents because they let their kids read Shakespeare I'm not surprised. I'm glad to see books like Harry Potter taking risks and not worrying about censoring stuff or being tame.

I eagerly await the movie adaptation of my favorite book in the series, book 3, The Dawn Treader!

I haven't seen it yet. The main girl I'm dating saw it without me so I have to call 2 and 3.

But anyway, Iron Man was great. Hulk and Batman are coming up soon, and both look good. Who'd have ever imagined we'd ever get decent comic book movies, let alone good ones? As I understand it, two sequels were greenlit once the positive reviews came rolling in.

I was talking generally, as in all children, but there might be someone here who has kids. If IDE once had 14 options, he's probably sired dozens of kids he has no idea exists.

Anyway, we're supposed to go on Memorial Day. Celebrate our vets by seeing Robert D. Jr. flying in a tin can! The only I thing I thought was odder than Schmoo saying "Let's go see Spider-Man 2" a few years back was when she said yesterday "I want to see Iron Man".

For the love of all that is holy....Do not....DO NOT for any reason go and see and Indiana Jones.

I sat through a Mid-Night showing of that and I'm considering straightening out a coat hanger, heating the end and then shoving it through my nose and into the part of my brain that controls memory just so I can forget it.

It makes The Phantom Menace look good in comparison.

If it wasn't Indiana Jones, I wouldn't be so hard on it. But it is...and thus I am. Raiders of the Lost Ark is pretty close to a perfect film, and happens to be my all time favorite movie of all time.

It wasn't a bad movie, but it was a bad Indiana Jones Movie.

Comparing it to Phantom Menace is a pretty long reach, but it could have definitely been a lot better. There were too many scenes that took you out of the movie (ropesnake wasn't one of them though) and I hated the whole premise behind the skulls (sci-fi bullshit), but it was a fun movie I wouldn't mind seeing again.

But, basically, if an Indy movie's better than Temple of Doom, I can accept it. And this was a far cry from that raging turd.

I've only seen one Indy movie: The Last Crusade. I really liked it. But anytime I tried to watch the first two, I would nod off or become disinterested or something. I'll probably sit down one of these days and go "wow, these are actually good". Shia LeStink is becomes creepier and creepier each year.

Iron Man was okay. The war stuff became bothering after a while. I was also disturbed how there were no positive female roles whatsoever. Even the female soldier is hit on and thus degraded before she dies. Every woman was overly sexualized and/or a punchline. I don't watch a lot of Marvel movies, but now I'm tempted to pore through each one and see how much of a trend this is. From what I remember of Daredevil and FF (Sue in her panties, how blatant), it is one. It's kinda sad. I did like RDJ as Iron Man though. Even if he was a total swine, it made him imperfect but there's nothing better than imperfect heroes. Miss white Nick Fury, only because I thought he was kinda hot.

I give it three stars.

Yet sadly...it's true. At least that's what I think.

At least TPM was Retard Wars like....I mean it had flaws that where so huge they couldn't be overlooked, but at least you could look around and go Ok....this is at least a plauseable plot that could happen in the SW universe. Indy 4 has none of that.

And Remember kids.....if you're caught in a Nuclear Blast just find your nearest Lead Lined Frig and ride it out.

I doubt it'll happen..I'd hate to see an Indiana Jones with Ford playing Co-star to Shia. It really wouldn't be an Indy flick then. I'd much rather see them bring in a New Actor to play Indy, and a New Director and go back and do some films in the 30s again where Indy belongs.

The Crystal Skull thing with aliens made me think that the movie was a front for Scientology. At the Nuclear explosion scene, I turned to my boyfriend and was like "Really?" All in all, I didn't think it was that terrible of a movie. Then again, I'm not the most hardcore Indy fans though I've seen the original movies a bunch of times (my old friend and I used to have a crush on young Harrison Ford).

We didn't go to a drive-in because the weather was crappy. Though about half an hour into the movie, they shut it off and made us go stand in the hallway because of a tornado warning. We only had to sit there for about fifteen minutes before they let everyone back into the theaters. We debated leaving to try and outrun a tornado that didn't actually exist but opted to play it safe.

I actually think that TPM was better then ROTS and they were both better then AOTC. When you look at it TPM is actually ploted and paced most like the OT out of all the prequels. Still isn't enough to make it good though. No one slapped Lucas on the hand and told him no like they did back in the day. It's sad when you come out of a SW movie and instead of the "Wow! That was awesome!" that you waited 20 some odd years to say, instead you get to go "Oh...well I guess it could have been worse."

Both true. I think Indy was the only one surprised by it when it came out too. But really those things are the least of what is wrong with this movie.

They've already done that. It was called "The Mummy".
