I had a pretty infected ingrown toenail, it was oozing blood constantly and getting swollen and inflamed and puss-filled ( almost wrote puss-y but it looked too much like pussy).

So I had them cut it out. I didn't feel that much pain since they had numbed it completely, but man they shoved this one thing under the nail, and used what looked like small metal trimmers to cut it...


And then after cutting the nail they twisted and yanked and pulled the offending piece of nail out of my skin, and now I have half a nail on my big toe. And I'm glad I was numbed up because even with the numbing I could feel it a little.



Also, I'm attempting to get a land phone line, and the bitch at the ATT store told me that their cheapest plan was $20 bucks but I'd have to pay extra for every minute, but the internet says it's unlimited local. She also says that local's 3 miles from your house.

Dude, that's just a heavy-duty toenail trimmer.  They sell them at Walmart...at least, that's where I got mine.  Don't go all acting like they used wire pliers or a Dremel on your shit.

Anyway, buy less tight shoes and trim your nails properly from now on.

If a nail gets hit hard and blood builds up underneath, they'll Dremel through the top of nail to release the blood.  It looks kind of cool, like tapping an eensy oil well.  Happened to me when a horse stepped on my foot.

No surgery for Eddie to remove the rest of his nail - he pulled it out himself with a pair of needle-nose pliers, so he's starting all over again.

He said my reaction was a good example of why he loves me - no squicks, no "EWWWW!" - he showed me the bits of nail, and I sighed and said, "Did you sterilize the pliers with alcohol?"  Hell, like I want to be driving him to the doctor with a fucked-up toe again.
