2007 TU24 not a killer astroid

There's a bunch of youtube videos going around claiming this TU24 is going to hit us or cause massive ion storms in our atmosphere or fuck our climate all to hell.

It's all bullshit. The asteroid will pass BEYOND the orbit of the moon, and if something as large as the moon can stay that distance and not crash into us, do you think a tiny, skyscraper sized chunk of rock that's farther than the moon is going to be pulled into the Earth?

I'm kinda disappointed though. I was hoping for mass death and armageddon. Oh well, the destruction of the planet will happen someday... I just have to bide my time.

I watched "Last Days on Earth" or something on the History Channel the other ngiht.  It was basically a countdown of the top 10 ways humankind could be wiped out.  After about three of them, I got scared and changed the channel.

I watched "Last Days on Earth" or something on the History Channel the other ngiht.  It was basically a countdown of the top 10 ways humankind could be wiped out.  After about three of them, I got scared and changed the channel.

Let's see, WWIII nuclear fallout, disease, aliens, asteroid, black hole farting on us, sun exploding, extreme global warming, spontaneous combustion of Earth... d'oh, I missed intelligent machines that revolt and kill us all.  What else did I miss?  Mutants!  Mutants that infect and kill us all.  What else?
