Uber-Bitchiness Warning.
There are a huge number of goobers in my classes that pick on people who ask questions, myself included, and it really pisses me the fuck off. For example:
Person: [Question]
Goober: [whines] He already answered that!
Person: [Question]
Goober: [bitches] It's in your book!
Person: [Comment]
Goober: [whines] That's not what this class is about!
I mean, let the goddamn prof police his own fucking class. Who the fuck are you anyway? STFU.
I asked for a formula once and one of them was all sassing me to look it up in the book. And then that same bitch wants to know from the prof how to work her fucking calculator. Calculator instructions are in the goddamn book too, you sopping diseased cunt. Your question is not more valid than mine. Fuck you.
Just today, I was reminded of this type of nonsense when I asked the prof (different class and ppl, mind you) if we actually were going to be given Wed off. These assholes behind me all heave loud sighs, with this one bitch going all "Stop asking her that!" Now, I really think I would go postal on a lot of stupid assholes I meet were it not for the small fact that I could endanger my job by laying down verbal-smackage, no matter how deserved, on these whiney-puss shitheads. It's a simple question for Christ's sake, but the way some of these ppl react to questions (not even directed at them!), you think asking one was killing somebody. I just looked over at her and said "I've only asked that once". And I had. I'm certain that bitch and the rest of the back row may have already brought it up to the professor earlier but I don't know why other students would think I have any reason in the world to pay the fuck attention to their sorry asses. And I wasn't the only person who didn't know, so it's not like it was clearly and absolutely stated. I don't think a "No, we do not meet for this class on Wed" is so much to fucking ask for.
And then this one guy had a question on this method of fund allocation and the damn peanut gallery starts up again. I wanted to know the answer to the question, too. I guess these people must be fucking geniuses. If you're so goddamn smart, then teach yourself the rest of it and let the us have our question answered. Shit.
There's nothing worse in my mind than imposing shame or, hell, even fear on people for asking questions. It's a classroom and questions should be asked. No matter what you ask, it's like they go out of their way to make you feel stupid. I have never encountered this to such a degree before. People who don't ask questions now are the same dumb asses that go looking for miracles later. Someone asking a question isn't the signal for fucking snarky-ass comments. And I don't mean ones kept to themselves, these assholes do these "rebuttals" out loud for the whole room to hear. Why the fuck do you have to make people feel stupid in front of everyone?
And another thing that pisses me off: We have the option in one of my classes to present the contents of our term paper for credit. Yet nobody wants to volunteer to speak. So the prof is all "we're just gonna sit here". FTW. I suggested the prof just pick people so we could move this along and get the fuck outta here and this chick next to me is all "why don't you go home". I'm not gonna risk losing attendance points because of your dumb ass. Fucking bitch, why don't you get some balls and go present your fucking paper? It's a five minute presentation for crying out loud. It amazes me how much these people fucking talk day-in and day-out to the point of driving me insane yet you can't get them to volunteer to earn points on their grade by speaking for five fucking minutes on a goddamn topic of their choice no less! Did it ever occur to them that if they all volunteered and got it done this week, we probably wouldn't have to attend class next week because there's no more class material and we'd run out of people to present? No, of course not, because they're fucking stupid.
