I actually remember reading someplace, (don't ask me where. It was like three years ago.) that a mathematician figured it out and at a totally random pace it would take something like 40-60 billion years for a single celled organism to develop. The Earth is only like 4 and half billion years old and there is already an abundance of super complex life forms, like us, here. They determined that an unknown force must have contributed to the fast development of life on earth, but stopped short of saying it was a deity

A simple question of whether or not you choose to take pride in yourself for what you have done or will do in your life or whether your real and tangible accomplishments are not enough for you. And you make an attempt to decide as if you're acting for a higher calling of some sort, something "bigger than myself"

I didn't even bother with the series. It already looked like it was going in a direction I didn't care to follow. I dunno. It could be good for what it is, I'm just saying this from what I've seen in ads over the years about it. Yeah, it has MacGyver in it, but MacGyver was a cheesy-ass show. There was a sense of wonder with the movie and it didn't look like the series even tried to capture that.

And MacGyver-related, I love how some people are attempting to document every problem he solved on the show.

The main problem with Stargate is... they did alot of X-Files episodes. With Aliens based on mythology and problems that can come from that, why!? Then they started killing aliens off by the dozens while introducing new forms of aliens that never show up again.

I didn't even watch the last season. It was so fucked up that the last episode was just a mindfuck.
