This fucking sucks. I thought Reeves was the coolest. I actually expected him to one day let out a superman yell and rip off his IVs and stand up by himself and say "Garrr! Nothing can keep Superman down for long!" And then run around doing cartwheels and fly away into the sunset.

Now he'll never walk again. Alas is the dream of walking again that is not fulfilled. Alas for dreams that never see the light.

No, but for me personally, I never had this bonding experience a lot of people had with Christopher Reeve. I don't even think I've seen a Superman movie in whole. He was just another person who happened to end up in the position of millions of other unfortunate people. When one of my favorite VAs die, or Mel Gibson or Tom Cruise, then you can look for me weeping buckets.

He played here with the original Aeros in 1972 & made me a lifelong hockey fan. He was really nice & always had time for autographs after the game. I had the biggest crush on his son Marty, who now looks like a fat used-car salesman.
