Late last night I was taking the senic route home when, in my headlights, I saw a black kid of about 10-13 on a bike riding around. If he hadn't been in my headlights I would have missed him completely, because he had no lights of any kind on him.
First thought that came in my head: "What the hell is some pubescent kid doing riding around at 1am?"
Second thought:
"Nigga stole my bike!"I stopped by a party store, and every time someone dressed in a do-rag, huge baggy pants, and either a sports jersey or 3x tee, talking ghetto slang, walked in the store, I thought the place might get robbed. The person didn't even have to be black, since a few were white or latino.
Living in metro Detroit makes you racist.
Edit: On a side note...
One of the computer labs on campus always seems to be filled with black people. Although this campus has a pretty average mix of races--majority white but a good percentage of minorities--for some reason this computer lab is almost always about 50-80% black. Makes no sense. And of course most of them have to be the ghetto trash variety. When I was there once, someone a few seats down from me played that "Nigga stole my bike" video game clip full screen, and when he noticed me looking over, grinned at me.
