I don't watch it but there's so many episodes I would think you would go with fansubs if you don't mind or want subs and w/ Funi if you want dubs. Or I guess if you don't mind going through it slowly and want quality found in an official release.

If you can find the manga, go that route instead. It won't take you anywhere near as long to get through it all, and it's just plain better.

Which is another reason I would prefer (from a creative standpoint) we have anime that is not based on manga. Original ideas allow for more flexibility.

Manga-based anime tends to be lesser than the source material because by-and-large it doesn't stick with it...often becaues the production begins way before the manga ends. Herein lies the difference between such fare and stuff like Hellsing Ultimate and FMA: Brotherhood. And then there are instances of things like Excel Saga that are intentionally not based on the manga yet turn out excellent due to the flexibility of the animation staff.

Just the same, I don't believe that animation studios are actually going to balk on original stuff, as it tends to be more lucrative if successful. I'm pretty sure that Gainax is glad they took a risk on Evangelion and Gurren Lagann.

Perhaps. I am really just going off of one individual's experience in the market. Maybe his ideas were not that great?

And now that I look at his work I am a little confused at the difference between a writer and a scriptwriter, it is true that I don't get this shit.

Regardless, I prefer original content, personal preference.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. Liked this so much better than the route the anime series went with. It probably helps that it's much shorter and not being dragged out episode by episode.

There's a "Cafe Gundam" outside of Akihabara station. I've never been there since I'm not a fan of Gundam but I bet its full with weaboos haha that area is PACKED with them (and with maids cafe too ;-) )

I have about ten more things in my Netflix queue, and I'm excited about none of them. It's probably going on inactive for a while (again). There's just not a lot out there right now that's interesting to me.

Which is probably why I've been downloading stuff like crazy and trying to figure out how to hardcode .ASS-format subtitles to .MKVs. Because having to convert down to .SRT subtitles and authoring softsubs for DVD is just plain ASS.
