But what the hell is up with Texas women and killing their kids? Are people from Texas just naturally nuts?

Hanging your kids is pretty fucking hardcore...especially if you have 4 of them. You have to watch the first few die before you get to hang yourself. You're definitely a candidate to rise from the grave as an undead creature.

Why bother giving birth to them if you were just gonna hang them later? Jeez, I'll never understand these types. A month or so back, this young mom-ho killed her two remaining kids (the other two being taken away from her already), wrapped them in bags, and crammed them under the house.

Isn't "Estrada" like the Spanish equivalent of "Smith"? I would have to be pretty naive to think everyone named Smith was related.

No, "Garza", "Garcia", "Lopez", "Hernandez", and "Rodriguez" are like "Smith". It's not exceedingly rare but neither is it one we encounter every day. And given the breederific hugeness of that side of the family, it wouldn't surprise me if all of the ones in this city were related.
