I dunno, but it should likely be in proportion to the number of Liza Minelli MP3s.

*is happy now*
I said its hot outside let me go swimming in your eyes;
We been running for awhile. Why don't you lay dow, I'll make you smile.
I could never ask for nothing better than this;
It's just tequila and the beach, it's quite salty when we kiss.

I feel like I should be happier but at the same time I really never gave a fuck about him so it's hard to swing in one direction about it so suddenly.

I think it's funny how people thought he was some sort of force against whatever it is they're for.  Apparently only those they agree with should have a voice.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

He was a disgusting person, a liar of many subjects, and overall evil fucker. What he said and did in his life were in no way good, and her represented himself much greater than he actually was. He was a freak of nature that exploited fear to further his own believes for the simple advancement of his life. To use God's name in that way makes him no better than those he preached hate and oppression upon, and the people who disagreed with what he had to say often were the more moral.

It was kinda hard for me to take someone who was anti-Tinky Winky with any sort of seriousness.

The man paid for drug addicts to receive treatment, provided shelter for unwed young mothers and their babies, and gave people free scholarships.  But he did no good, because he was strongly opinionated against queers and baby killers and genuinely (if inaccurately) felt that fostering such activity was inviting special divine punishment.

I can list my issues with him by quoting a few of his opinions:

Quote
On Sept. 11: "The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way—all of them who have tried to secularize America—I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.' "

On AIDS: "AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals."

On homosexuality: "I believe that all of us are born heterosexual, physically created with a plumbing that's heterosexual, and created with the instincts and desires that are basically, fundamentally, heterosexual. But I believe that we have the ability to experiment in every direction. Experimentation can lead to habitual practice, and then to a lifestyle. But I don't believe anyone begins a homosexual."

On Martin Luther King Jr.: "I must personally say that I do question the sincerity and nonviolent intentions of some civil rights leaders such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Mr. James Farmer, and others, who are known to have left-wing associations."

(On Martin Luther King Jr., four decades later: "You know, I supported Martin Luther King Jr., who did practice civil disobedience.")

On public education: "I hope I live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again, and Christians will be running them."

On the separation of church and state: "There is no separation of church and state."

On feminists: "I listen to feminists and all these radical gals. ... These women just need a man in the house. That's all they need. Most of the feminists need a man to tell them what time of day it is and to lead them home. And they blew it and they're mad at all men. Feminists hate men. They're sexist. They hate men; that's their problem."

On global warming: "I can tell you, our grandchildren will laugh at those who predicted global warming. We'll be in global cooling by then, if the Lord hasn't returned. I don't believe a moment of it. The whole thing is created to destroy America's free enterprise system and our economic stability."

On Bishop Desmond Tutu: "I think he's a phony, period, as far as representing the black people of South Africa."

On Islam: "I think Mohammed was a terrorist. I read enough of the history of his life, written by both Muslims and non-Muslims, that he was a violent man, a man of war."
Tortures end me,
Death befriends me.
Of all the pains, the greatest pain
is to love, and love in vain.

Hitler revived the German economy, was anti-smoking, invigorated the German youth, and planned out a massive public works project to transform Berlin.

Some "score". Falwell never killed anyone, very likely saving a number of lives.  Apparently, among the opinioned, having a differing opinion is the greatest sin of all.

Let's see...while I disagree with the assertions that 9/11 and AIDS are some divine judgment (for reasons detailed elsewhere), Martin Luther King did have associations with the left, as it was the most sympathetic to the civil rights cause.  That's a statement of fact...a lot of people at the time didn't trust them, believing many on the left to have communist connections.  Public education is a disaster; don't forget that the government's only good at two things: taxing and blowing shit up.  Also, church and state are NOT mutually exclusive, otherwise one'd have to obliterate the other to survive.   Feminists take themselves too damn seriously.  Global warming is not restricted to Earth and thus can't be completely man-made unless we're inflicting it upon the rest of the solar system as well.  Bishop Tutu disagreed with Falwell's opinion of homosexuality, so it's natural that he'd not care for him.  And Muhammed *was* the greatest terrorist of all time...how do you think his religion spread so quickly?  It wasn't because everybody in Arabia decided in less than a generation to adopt it against all their pagan, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, and Jewish histories...

Now, does my saying any of that make my death a welcome occurance?

Which is why I said "I can list my issues with him by quoting a few of his opinions".  I did not say he or anyone else did not have a right to them.  I liked Tom's retort - my doing so doesn't make an accusation of murder against Falwell.  I'm not sure how left-wing associations makes one insincere and violent, but I'm sure it made sense to him.

Church and state:  Which church?  He obviously picked one, but that might start a few Constitutional law problems.

I'll have to continue later as Eddie just called me to remind me what time it is and how to get home.  Good thing they have those cute little stripeys on the....oh, what do you call them....STREETS!  Otherwise, I'd just turn the steery-thing all over the place.

Did Hitler? The only 'kill' attributed to him possibly would be his neice, whom he was involved with incestuously. But his preaching hate probably did lead to death, same as other people. Let the fucker rot.
