And only a little over a day late.  I would've posted earlier, but I decided to spend a great portion of it vegging out to the Twilight Zone marathon.  Also of note, if you happen to open your closet door and look inside, you will come to find out you own this board in a shoebox.

Finally, something to keep all those Cell Phones and Cameras I have stuffed in that shoebox company. I just hope they don't procreate.

Eventually yes, but I'm not certain if that's really something I want on DVD anytime soon.  While many are classics for sure, there's a sizable amount of episodes I don't necessarily find rewatchable.  I'm not in any hurry to see that lonely old woman crying about Brian or that cynical old man that didn't go play outside and get younger with the other geezers.  That's kinda depressing.

My plan is to at least have something published on this here interweb.  I haven't compiled enough poetry nor finished the story I'm working on now.  Even though the latter is looking more like a 80+ installment serial, I would prefer to finish it before divulging any part of it.  I would like something complete to present.

Are you guys looking at a book or magazines?  Or will it be something online as well?

Well books for me. But I have been trying to get a meeting with a writer from Fate Magazine that lives in this area. She expressed interest in reading my stuff through a third party, but I have yet to actually meet her. If I could get her to look at my stuff and she likes it, she might be able to put a good word for me with her editors I might just be able to get something in there.

But my main goal is to do novels. I have 9 book series in the works, and I have another series of novels based in the same world as those 9 but they follow a different character, and then I have outlines for 2 stand alone novels and some drawings and notes on a children's book. And then I have done research on a Non-fiction book about the Haunted Location of my area, but the well has dried up lately and I don't have enough for a whole book yet.

Sadly...none of them are done. I was hoping to have at least a pitch ready send out by Christmas for the first novel (which I'm into the 3rd draft), but that didn't happen because of a severe case of writers block that has plagued me of the last 6 months.

I plan on putting writings on a web page in the future, but only after I get some other stuff published. The extra writing would just be there to draw people into the novels and let me use some ideas that weren't big enough for a book on their own. Course, I still have to buy the domain for those, which I also hope to, get done this year. I know the one I want is available, I just haven’t done it yet.

I just realized I wasn't specific in my previous post.  That should've been "I haven't compiled enough poetry nor finished the story I'm working on now to consider either of those for publication."  I have possible other stuff that I wanted to get online, aside from those.

Probably a dumb ques., but what's Fate Magazine?

I'm taking an advanced narrative video production class this...my final...semester *sniff* and I hopefully the professor will let me write a screen play instead of whatever crap research paper he probably had planned for me.

Then the ballad of IDE will be told in full.  The prophetic rise to powet, the temptation and subsequent aquiesence to the dark side and then in the final act REDEMPTION!...but I'm not sure how that's gonna work since I haven't lived the final act yet.

It will be basically the same movie but with "based on a true story" in the trailer.

Basicly it's the longest and most well known mag. dealing with the paranormal. They also publish Sci-Fi short stories and do Book reviews from time to time.

Online Magazine. My Novel has been....put on hold for about a year or so thanks to events and a really bad case of Writers Block.
It's called Signs & Portents, it's a wargaming magazine put out by a company that puts out both roleplaying games and wargames (Like Warhammer 40k.) I've written....five articles now and submitted them, each one basically an advanced tactics guide to a specific game.
I know they're going to put out two of the articles some time within the next few months (It's a monthly publication, see....) and they sent the other two back to me so I could edit the format, and then they had me send them back in so I assume that if they didn't like'em they would've said no outright. The fifth I just finished and need to submit to them.
The Online magazine itself is free to download, but if I get any article published then I'll get paid 2 cents per published word, so it'll be some nice spare change since each article is around 5,500 - 6,000 words, so that's around $100 or so dollars per article. Dunno how much they'll edit it down, but still its a start.

Man, I heard that. Glad I'm not the only one that's happened too. I use to write from anywhere from 4-6 hours a day. Now...I'm lucky if I make a few notes. It's gotten so bad I've looked into hypnosis to try to fix the problem. But the first guy I talked to wanted 85 bucks a session, so I decided to look around some more.

That's not bad. I mean you won't retire or get rich on that, but at least you are getting paid for it. Which is more then I can currently claim.

True. I've already started a sixth article as well. The site in question is www.mongoosepublishing.com
I hate Writers block. So...Very...Much. I can knock out these 15 page articles no problem but when I go to do work on the novel it's like my mind just turns off...which is just BALLS.

I don't want it to be easy, I want it to be right.

Oh I know. I turned out the first draft of my novel in 2 months. At that pace I should have been able to turn out 2 novels a year and I have enough ideas to keep myself busy for 6-8 years. But Noooooooooo.....that couldn't last. Now here I am a year and half later and I'm still not done with the first one.

I'll third you guys.  I got through three chapters in three days and then froze.  I'm trying to keep thaw by working on multiple parts of the story and writing down everything that comes up, no matter where it fits in the story (even if it doesn fit at all).

I do the same thing. Like I know exactly what's going to happen in the last chapter of book 9, even though I only have a general idea on what's going to happen in the rest of the book. If I come up with something I just write it down and file it away. Sometimes I'll shoe horn it in someplace. Like I had a cool idea that I wrote down, but I ended up adding it to my first book to increase the action.

Again....I do the same thing. No one bugs you at night cause everyone is alseep, and you can just go for hours without a single nosie distracting you from what you are working on.

I actually write best on the road or...when I'm supposed to be doing other stuff. At work when I'm on the register and its particularly dead I usually can get a few pages done.

I don't want it to be easy, I want it to be right.

Yeah, I posted that because Merla and Schmoo were being all noisy at the time.  It never fails that one of them will come knock on my door and be all "come see something" or whatever.  Then by the time I return, my computer's on stand-by and a couple of hours have passed.

or...when I'm supposed to be doing other stuff.
I love taking notes for a class on one page and notes for my story in the other.  When I wrote in highschool, I wrote loads of material in my notebook and then typed it out when I got home.  It gets annoying now only because I was forced to hang onto old algebra and management notes from last Spring because they were intermingled with story.  I kept things separate this past semester but unfortunately got far less done.  I'll think I'm just gonna have to suffer through it.

I can't write on the road.  I get carsick.

But I don't watch porno.
