I caught the tail end of Hardball on MSNBC while waiting for Countdown to come on. Apparently taking out the "the American way" from the slogan is the work of liberals, the other guests saw it as more of Hollywood and the market for the world. Personally, I don't care, I just thought it was really really stupid to speak of the "politics" of a movie/comic book character. -.-

Superman is the biggest superhero proponent of the American way. He wears BLUE for christs sake. He RUSHES head long into situations confident that his powers will get him through WHEN THEY DON'T ALWAYS, and he runs around getting into other peoples business!!!

If they shorten it to Captain, then they'd have to spray paint the Shield. And nobody. But NOBODY. Touches the shield. Last guy to paint on Cap's Shield (Spray painted a Swastika on it by the by), ended up DEAD. Yep. DEAD. Course Hatemonger wasn't alive to begin with BUT HE STILL DIED.
