Marvel is doing a storyline this summer where the heroes take sides on the issue of registration. They put two banners online saying "Civil War: I'm with Captain America" Civil War: I'm with Iron Man," the poster children for each side.

Well the internets obviously got a hold of it and thousands of spoofs were made within days.

I'm not actually reading the book but I'm shocked at how all the loser superheroes are in the anti registration camp which I would assume to be the evil one while cool guys like Spiderman and Ironman are in the Mutant regist... sorry I mean Superhero registration camp.

Right now Captain America's outlaws are the good guys, it can't even be argued otherwise. Maybe there'll be a 180 at some point, but for the moment Iron Man and friends are coming off like fascists. Already you can tell Spider-Man is having second thoughts, the only problem is he no longer has any choice in the matter.

Except for Batman most superheroes from most universeses have lame identities. Sure revealing his identity will have an effect on Peter's life but most of the world would have no idea who this kid behind the mask is. It's like when he loses his mask in movie 2. No one cares 'cause no york's so big that no one reckognises him.

And I can't remember what show it was but I think it was Spiderman. The guy takes off his mask to show a kid he's just a guy and then is all worried about it. Then he's telling some guy in a park and helps some kid who lost his balloon and gives it to him and the guy is like "well don't you think this kid will rat you out?" and he's like "No. He doesn't remember me. He's the kid I just gave that balloon to"!!!11

Wrong, Wrong, absolutely brimming over with wrongability.

Joe Q can sit on it and twirl for all I care. I was going to give civil war a chance till they did that. And everyone is going "but it opens up new story possiblities." No it doesn't! You removed the main conflict in the book. The fact that he has to try to be both Peter and Spider-Man. When you remove that you are deconstructing a character and he becomes more villian of the week then anything else.

I'll just got back to reading my Marvel Comic from the 70's and Early 80s. Before the dark times, before the Liefeld.

Estero Island. I've taken many classes and draw a bit, just I barely scan any in, and even then I am not happy with what I produce. I never got into the whole 'show everyone your artwork' thing since all the times I have done it, I've never gotten honest critique aside from 'looks good', etc.

But yes Liefield sucks. I could do what he does, which is basically draw bad and copy others... but I want to create.

If you wanna see something of mine, here's a rather erotic image I did for a commission. It's based off a pencil drawing which I went over in photoshop. I lost some quality in exchange for color.
