I'll get a 360 before PS3. 600$ is ridiculous.

I don't want it to be easy, I want it to be right.

I have so many games to play from the PS1 days that It will be forever before I've actually played all the good PS2 games, so getting a PS3 is a long ways off.

I felt good about that general date until I realized it's about 6 months away.

Oh well. DS Lite comes out June 11.

WHY?

Why do you spend so much money on Booze, when all you can do is drink it once and throw away the bottle? Because you enjoy it.
Why do we like videogames? Well, see....When we buy it, we get more than ten minutes enjoyment and a buzz. We can play it for an hour after working all day at a hopeless job or studying all day for college. We LIKE the Videogames, and who are you to question why we do.
So shush.

I don't want it to be easy, I want it to be right.

Correction: shiet, you philistine :)

Moore's dead on with his prognosis.  I'd definitely buy a 360 and Wii before a PS3...even now, I have a Gamecube and Xbox.  Though the only reason I got the Xbox was to hack it and burn games.  But that's neither here nor there.

I'll put it this way: 3DO looked better than Genesis, SNES, Turbografix, et. al. when it came out, but it failed for one very big reason: IT COST $700 AND NEVER DROPPED.  It was just too expensive to make and market.  And there were no games...it was marketed as a media machine, which meant lots of Sega CD-esque FMV games (albeit in decent resolution), no variety, and, after weak sales, no incentive to code new, better games.  Hell, ports were rare for that machine because of the weird-ass hardware.

Sony is pumping out the development kits and signing up exclusive title rights and burning the midnight oil to make games that will induce consumers to take leave of their senses and mortgage the house to buy a PS3 in the first year.  But given the high early costs, the absence of any real killer apps, and the very high manufacturing costs, they're going to have to hope God's a Playstation fan to make this work out.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

$600 on a piece of technology is a thousand times more justifiable than $600 on a bag.

Unless the bag was really practical and functional. Like, if it had an interdimensional pocket inside it. Or maybe if you could play video games on it  :P

Anyway... I don't wanna be mean here, but does aDam have any alts that still post on this board?

Interdimensional pocket?

Dammit... now when the Toyko Game show comes around, Sony's going to be pimping their new creation, "PocketStation", which can transport real-life items to the game world.

What comic is that?

BTW...  Merrill Lynch, who has many clients that own stock in Sony, reports that Sony's stock has dropped 7.8% since E3 started, with a loss of 3 BILLION dollars... in the last 10 days.

Strange... it took Microsoft 4 years to lose 4 Billion Dollars on their game systems.  Sony's already 3/4 the way there in just over a week.   Though, their stock actually rose slightly today for the first time since then.

I always figured the character of Kevin (with the tesseract in his asspipe) from Hitman #51 was actually based on Goatse.
