I'm surprised no one has seen this and started a thread about it.

I would think at least Rama would have seen it and reported how much it sucked/rocked, considering how big of a sci-fi nerd he is.

Well aside from the fact that I thought Firefly sucked and had no desire to see the movie.

Joss Whedon SUCKs.

Aside from Buffy, which really wasn't all good, he's done nothing sucessful or good in the world. The only reason buffy survived is because of hot ass girls. I mean, hell, lookit desperate housewives. How many people watch it for the meaningful writing, or to see Eva Longoria's sweet dumpa.

Those Desperate Housewives are all gross-looking. Blech... Not that I have anything against older women, but Teri Hatcher's a fucking skeleton. That they're desperate and housewives just gives me more excuses to not like them.

Buffy was blech, too. I started checking out the minute getting laid suddenly became a magic vamper-switch. My eyes rolled all the way to the bowling lane and made a fucking strike. The fuck. Some of the other characters and cheesy action was fun, but it wore pretty damn thin by end. Lookit, they all be slayers. Teh fuck. I liked that other slayer... that foreign chick that bit it. I forget what her name was. She was cool. Not Faith though. "I'm a slut, B." Yes, you are.

I never saw Firefly, never cared to. From the preview, this movie looks pretty much full of Joss Whedon brand stale-nacho to me.

I always found it strange that if you have a show and your main Character "comes out" then the show is doomed to Canceled. Like Ellen and The Roise O'Donald show. But if you are out right from the very start it does well, like Will and Grace and the Ellen Degeneris show. I guess the American viewing public fears change more then homosexuals.

Normally I like lesbians. Xena sucked to begin with, but after it became a pro-lesbian feminist fuckfest, it decended into the depths of shitville.

Firefly isn't bad at all. I've Netflixed and watched half the series thus far. IMO it presents a unique take on space exploration and colonization, and the dialog tends to be entertaining, like a sci-fi Hitman. Don't think I care enough to see the movie in theaters though.

Both of thoe shows just suffered from badwriting near the end of their runs. It had nothing to do with lesbians.

You all should really give Serenity a chance. It's the BEST St*r WarzzZZ movie since Empire Strikes Back.

I liked all of his show. Seasons 6 and 7 of Buffy were shittacular but that was because he let someone else run the show.

Of course it did. Bad writers are the ones that think, "hey, we needs some lesbos. Let's stick it all over the show and cram it in people's faces with no regard to actual plot. Here a gay, there a gay, everywhere a gay gay." So IMO, it's no better than shows that give someone an evil twin or movies where they give Riddick a stupid origin story about being the last of his stupid race when it wasn't freaking necessary.

And Ellen and Rosie's shows... my god. Those viewerships must've been comprised of people in severe denial. We're not even talking Portia de Rossi here, I mean freaking Ellen and Rosie O'Donnell. ROSIE. WTF?

I've seen 2 episodes of serenity. I'm not that impressed so far, but I like the wit of the series.

Also, the engineer's kinda hot.
