And acting like it doesn't bother you so you don't seem to needy is a good trick in the male arsenal as well.

Then those women are idiots because there's a big chance they'll just make the guy lose interest. I'm all for making a move when one needs to be done but there's nothing that makes me lose interest in a girl like knowing she's with or wants to get with some other guy.

Plus I really wouldn't want to get involved with some girl who needs to play games and lie about non existant guys to trick a guy into doing things. Is honesty really that hard?

"Mention", not "tuck ankles behind one's ears when another guy walks by" or inventing competition. For example "Do you think *random movie* is worth going to see? ( in my case, it was Seven) ______ asked me if I wanted to go, but I didn't say one way or another." My response to the affirmation on the movie was, "Yeah, the movie sounds good. Not sure about the company...." He immediately invited me and we were together for about 18 months.

Then again, I had it on reliable authority that he liked to make the first move, so all I did was give him the opportunity to do so. Your mileage may vary. Ultimately we drifted apart because of a little "what's mine is mine, what's yours is ours" attitude on his part, but we had some fun times. B)

If another guy is mentioned, take the opportunity to ask if that would prevent her from going out for pizza, coffee, a movie, etc. Something casual and one-on-one. You'll never know unless you ask.

Men and Women play too many mind games as it is with each other...I'll admit that women do it more then men, but men aren’t blameless either. I try not to use them, but I have asked a question I knew the answer too just so I could say something flattering in response to the answer, but that's about the extent of it. I try to be as honest as I can because trust is important to me. And if I was caught playing games like that would shatter that trust. And that's hard to get back once that happens.

Different strokes. I'd be a bit of a hypocrite for getting mad at a guy looking at another girl when I looked at girls, too.

My breaking point was guys getting threatened when they suspected I made more money than they did. I'd pretty much tell them to get on the stick and MAKE more money if it was that important to them or STFU. :angry:

UPDATE: The guy in question is on campus. I know this. She ducked out of work for a minute or two to meet with him, then called him on her cellphone when he DIDN'T meet her.
Grrr. I did complement her Skirt though. Very pretty.

Just be nice to her, especially when he isn't. Then when she seems to be strained from him being a douchebag, you step in and become the knight in shining armor. Be warned, for like four months me and Kary were bitter enemies, because she blamed me for the way Joshy was and I was angry at her for being in love with... him. We got over it. ^_^
