--Which is their biggest downfall.  Remember the "connectivity" hype with the Gamecube?  Colossal failure.  Having to buy two controllers (the standard and the adapter, I'm not talking about that uncomfortable nunchaku either) just to play games regularly...

Narrow minded?  Oh please. calling that controller "innovative" one thing, but the design is so lacking that playing conventional console games is out of the question.  To say that it's a machine for non-gamers is amusing, because they have no audience but rabid fanboys.
Huh?

The Revolution isn't about conventional console games. This is Nintendo doing new shit and setting the precedent for Sony and Microsoft to throw their money at and make their own exxxxxtreme versions of again. They're handling the conventional games. Why, right now I can play sports games and PC ports of FPS games on the Xbox 360!

Also, it has 4 ports for Gamecube controllers.

Nice.

I agree, I'd buy an XBox if anything on it seemed of any interest to me. If I was into RPGs, I'd get a PS2 (though I might for Soul Calibur 3 >.>; ), but I own a Cube for Super Smash Brothers, Zelda, Metroid, and whatever other games get ported to it (SC: Ghost :D). I played Halo and Halo 2, neither impressed me to the point of spending all that money, and then paying more to play it online with people who spend all day playing halo and thusly are much better than I could ever care to be.

Fuck Microsoft, Fuck Xbox. The 360's mounting inferiority will soon ensure that it goes the way of the Sega hardware.

Halo's community is rather one-sided when it comes to decency.

Now you ARE just being blind and irrational. Microsoft is not going anywhere in the console market. Whether you like it or not, the Xbox has enough supporters and financial backing to keep it fighting with Nintendo and Sony for a long time.

I really doubt that, especially if XBox starts to lag in sales. Microsoft may be big now, but it too has it's opponents. Considering it's mainly into computers, and not video games, should the company start to falter for whatever reason, you better bet XBox would be the first to go.

Plus most 'XBox' fans are American, and you know how fickle the American public is when it comes to stuff it likes.

Americans will buy anything dangled in front of them if it's shiny.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

You say that as if you've never heard of the Japanese.  You know, the same people who came up with a kancho arcade machine, where the player guides a large plastic fist with forefingers extended into an electromechanical rectum? :P

People are saying $500 is the PS3 price, but I'm thinking it'll be around $350 at launch.
I keep seeing reports that that $500 figure is the actual cost of the hardware, but that they're probably going to eat at least $100 on each of them from the start to get sales rolling.  But there are also reports (formerly attributed to Sony's CEO, but later found to be false) that a price point between $300-400 is likely, which if so will make my guess right on the money.  And I also see where it's said that Sony'll drop PS2 down to $100 in an effort to help stave off interest in 360 and encourage the non-early adopters to continue waiting.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
