I hope Killpatrick doesn't win.

Killpatrick's the Democratic incumbant mayor of Detroit, and an idiot. He came into office making all sorts of huge promises and like most politicians, he didn't do most of them. Sure, he did get the Superbowl to Detroit, he finished building the new stadiums (but the previous mayor started that), he cleaned up a few places including the waterfront which is one of the most beautiful waterfronts around now. But he also did a bunch of stupid things.

He has like 100 bodyguards. He wastes taxpayer money. He bought Escalades for his wife and several city council members with tax money. He threw huge parties with tax money. He hired strippers, he went on shopping sprees, he flew to exotic locations... with tax money. The city's bankrupt even with the casinos here, the roads are shit, the cops are being laid off, the jails are overcrowded, the fire department is being downsized, the public transportation sucks....

Also, the City Clerk commited fraud with the Absentee ballots. She filled out ballets for dead people, and went to senior homes and wrote down votes for Killpatrick and his supporters no matter what the seniors said, even intimidating them into voting for Killpatrick. Jesus christ.

One channel says Killpatrick is 5% in the lead, another says the new guy Hendrix is ahead by 10%....

For the first time I want the Republican to win. Fuck Killpatrick, that bastard needs to burn!

I'll make it simple.

The mayor of Detroit was declared one of the worst mayors ever

and then he was re-elected for a second term.

The screams you hear is hell freezing over.

I wouldn't care that much, but even being this far from Detroit, if they fall, we might feel it. The cars can burn out here too.

Actually, it's the kanji for love (I think). The shirt is from Hot Topic, so for all we know it could be the Thai word for elephant.
