Look at it this way. Bitch is the only underaged female here that I know, so I have to use her as an example. In the extremely unlikely chance that we had sex, she would know what she was doing. I think the main arguement against sex under 18 is that the kids don't know what they are doing, or what concequences could come out of sex. I think it all depends on the person. Some people fuck as teens and pop out babies because they're stupid... other people like Bitch know what they are doing and are smart enough not to get pregnant at an early age.

And I've had an relationship with a younger girl. She was 15, I was 19. At the time we believed we loved each other. We never actually got naked and did the fuckyfucky, she was a bit prudish about sex at the time. Eventually we broke up... she's now 19, at college, seeing another man, and they fuck like rabbits.

But had we fucked when she was 15-16, it would have been illegal. It would have mattered nothing that we loved each other. Everyone would look at me as some kind of evil sexual deviant.

First of all, it doesn't matter in the eyes of the law whether you loved her, she loved you, or not if/when you boffed her.  It's illegal because it can not be assumed children automatically know what is in their best interests...if this was the case, 5 year olds would stay up all night and eat Smarties until they were sleep-walking and malnourished.  That's why they have parents.

You've made a classic message board mistake: this isn't a personal support group.  With most boards I've ever been a part of, people will call you on your bullshit.  

I can't speak for anyone else, but I've never been non-judgmental or open-minded in anything.  Open-mindedness says, "it's okay with me if you wanna pork a kid."  Non-judgmental says, "I don't hold your lack of common sense against you." I say, "if you did it, you deserve what legal repercussions come your way."  And with the way you're getting all defensive and pissy about it, you come across as being guilty as hell.

As for hentai, I don't see it as being any different than I do regular pornography. But that's nothing compared to the larger issue here, although it'd be bad if they confiscated your computer, for example, and used cartoon pr0n against you in court.

I voted for Bush, and I am a fundamental Christian, so I haven't lied to (or about) myself.  While I appreciate your ever-so-loving comments concerning people such as myself, even the average, "open-minded", Kerry-supporting heathen doesn't approve of statutory rape, so that's a total non-issue.  I don't have an axe to grind against you or anybody else here...but if you are older than 18 years of age and had sexual relations with someone who isn't, and you're found guilty of it in court, you deserve whatever sentence the statute calls for.  It's just that simple.
