It was good except all the hand held will make you nauseous if you see it on the big screen.  2 members of my party vomited.

This review is OVER!

Was the hand-helding because it was sad or because it was scary?

It was to make it seem real.  The movie is supposed to be what really happened as seen through some guy''s video camera.  But if you've ever tried to watch someone's home movies when they're whipping the camera around really fast and it makes you dizzy then you'll know what I mean.

what did the monster look like? I refuse to pay 9  dollars for a movie with shitty blair witch camerawork.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

I've never been real big on a lot of "Reality" in movies. I go to see movies to escape reality, and in a movie about a giant monster attacking New York the furtherist thing from my mind is reality.

No one said anything about reality.  It's about realism! And you like realism.  It's what keeps sponge bob out of your james bond flicks.

This movie is a realistic interpretation of what happens when godzilla pays a visit as told from the point of view of your average "OMG ITS GODZIRRA!" peon running down the street.

I'm surprised theres no images of the monster on google yet.  You really want me to describe him completely?  Not seeing him for awhile is kind of whats cool about him.

spoilers ahead...

The monster has a humanoid shaped head attached to a torso with 2 sets of arms and a snake bottom with long thrashy tail (like a WoW naga).  The first set of arms is bigger than the 2nd set.  When the monster breathes afro puffs on the side of its head fluff out.  Little monsters are attached to the big monster they're about the size of large dogs.  They fall off his back and bite you with a poisonous bite that makes you explode like a blood filled zit.  They're more insect like with long snappy jaws (like the starship trooper bugs but more cthulu like) and a lot of eyes (they move like mechanical spider drones).

You're right. I'm glad we have that cause I'd hate to see Laser Space fights and Klingon Cloaking Cars in my Bond flicks. So thank God for that.

And I'm sure someone could make a superlaser that uses Diamonds to focus the beam too.

Well I'm sure they could figure that out before we see a private detective clearing a cartoon rabbit of murder charges.

I got nauseous but I didn't leave.  You'd have to be an idiot to keep watching until the point of throwing up.  I had to look away during some parts for a minute but I made it through and was fine 15 minutes after the movie.
