I've tried my hand at gardening, but I either have to spend a bit every year on perennials and annuals that don't always come up every year, or throw down seeds and hope they grow.
This year I decided to take a bare patch of yard, put rocks around it, and use a "instant perennial garden" mix to try to get something to grow there. So far so good, the plants started sprouting quickly. But, within a week, I started noticing the leaves were being chewed off.
Same thing happens to the plants I transplant, I've lost about half the stuff I've planted. Can't be insects, I've sprayed for them.
I suspect rabbits, I see them a lot. Or rodents. Should get some poison and a shotgun. <_<
