I haven't read Tokyo Ghoul, but that author's current series Choujin X is one of my favorites.

Honestly, I'm determined to finish it but the Iliad's so dumb. Aggie (that's what I'm calling him) has to give back the girl he got as a war prize so he steals the one Achilles has. So then Achilles he whines to mommy. And mommy whines to Zeus. It's so weird.

With One Day Left I'll Break All the Destruction Flags and Proud to be the Villainess are pretty good. The former is relatively short, where the villainess has 24 hrs to change the outcome of her condemnation. I haven't completed the latter, but it has more twists and turns than an AI snake-shaped Amazon puzzle. Both feel very fresh in the villainess genre.
