I used to see people dancing like this all the time (years ago) when they were completely shit canned and we'd all point at laugh at them making idiots of themselves. And they'd be ashamed of all the facebook pictures posted the next day.
Jamaicans have a dance just like this where the DJ actually gives a play by play of what the couples are doing and instructs them what to do. I use those videos to troll on 4chan sometimes.
