Do you swallow? If so, food poisoning.
-
I picked food poisoning.
-
The dog.

I thought it was the dog, too but I think it's actually some wonky sort of food poisoning. I was perfectly fine, on my laptop on Sunday reading about how Alielle in El-Hazard is a total lesbo and I just got so much pain I couldn't sit. I had to stand up and walk around. I won't detail the further adventures of that day because they're of the gastrointestinal sort. The next day I felt better but not by that much. I was able to hold in my bowl of cereal. That did not happen today. I did eat a taco salad just now and feel okay, so maybe it's finally going away... whatever it was. Fuck you, Marmaduke.
Speaking of which, I found this. And I didn't even google "Fuck you, Marmaduke":

It could be the weather/ high pollen counts. My Dad, brother, and Kary all are feeling like shit.
-
But does it give them the shits? Because all in all, I feel fine except that my stomach's fucked up and I've been getting minor headaches. But yeah, it's mostly mah poor tummy. :(
-
It could. But if you haven't noticed a lot of drainage, then I doubt it's that. I was having some stomach troubles over the weekend, but that was due to some bad Chinese food I got into on Friday. You eat anything that didn't settle well?
-
Give me all your symptoms. I'm a hypochondriac so I always think I have all the diseases in the world, so I research them for hours. I'm a walking human webMD

Okay, Dr. Faye. Here's more than you wanted to know:
My stomach's been very delicate lately, sometimes it feels like its made out of bits of paper and tape. If I eat the "wrong" thing, even a little of it, I feel sick. (There seems to be constant debate on what the right and wrong things are, however. On Monday I couldn't eat cheese but yesterday I had a little and today I could.) I feel a mix of queasy and bloating. Sometime it's foul gas out of one end, right now it feels like there's a knot in my throat and I can't breathe right. Most meals, even ones I hold down, require me to be very still and do nothing while my stomach settles itself. If I sit down too hard, it can be very uncomfortable. I thought I felt okay today but realized I was walking "too hard" (I know, wtf) and my stomach didn't like that. Stools are kinda loose, like rats went up my butt and nibbled on them and I somehow didn't notice. It almost feels like fluid is coming out of my colon, like it's trying to retreat from my body, but ultimately nothing comes out. It's just feels that way. (Now I'm wondering if water isn't being absorbed right.) A couple of times, I thought I could taste bile but I didn't hurl. Every once in a while, I get a little pain. (Sunday was really horrendous but that only happened once.) I also feel tired, but I don't know if that's less a symptom of whatever I've got and more an effect of it.

Eat some of that yogurt.

That's a great idea. <a href=">Bacteria vs Bacteria! Fight![/url]

But it is good bacteria versus bad bacteria.

Sounds a lot like acid reflux with a mix of irritable bowel syndrome. Had that during the last 2 months of my pregnancy and I couldnt lay down after eating cause then I'd feel like the food was coming up but it was like "acid". Completely uncomfortable
If it is in fact acid reflux you can drink milk, take Tums, eat a salad after eating something, among other things.
If it is irritable bowel syndrome, its a little more complicated since you have to stop eating what your body "doesnt like" (probably dairy...maybe you just became allergic to it?). Check these two illnesses online and tell me what you think
-
I would like to note that, while I chose "Fucking virus that will kill us all." as an answer to the poll, by "us all" I meant "you all".
I'll be fine because I am amazing.

She may be right here. I thought Acid reflux when was reading that as well. Specifically the mention of the "knot in my throat". The gas and loose bowels can also be symptoms of that as well. And laying down always seems to makes it worse.

It's weird because my body has always selectively liked dairy. Every once in a while it's just noxious.
I did the "eat a salad after eating something" thing the other day and the greens did agree with me. Kept everything calm down there.
I'll look those things up in detail in the weekend when I got mo' time.

DONT WAIT TILL THEN, YOU CAN DIE TODAY
nah im jk.
But there are a lot of cases in which adults suddenly become lactose intolerant, like from one day to the other. And it doesnt have to be severe, it can be very mild
-
Stop eating dairy.
Problem solved. =D
Seriously, only infants should have milk.
-
You obviously don't live close to a dairy farm. Nothing beats farm fresh milk and the baked goods said farmers bake with it.
-
I do not need dairy to enjoy great food.
-
no, i want

Theres no fucking way I could ever live without dairy. You know how many yummy things contain lactose??? A couple of weeks ago my baby got a rash all over her face and a friend told me that it was probably a milk allergy so I was practically forced to stop eating dairy for a couple of days until I went to the doc. But when I went there she told me it was just a baby rash, no allergy. It was SOOO difficult to stay away from delicious ice cream, cheese, milk, butter, everything.

Nah. No need. I have plenty of delicious foods to eat in its stead.
-
Like a hot dog made out of hemp and a steak made out of raisins. Evil raisins.
-
Admittedly, those Tofutti Cuties are good. I also had these coconut ice cream sandwiches that were good and said they were lactose-free.

What? Like Steak? '__'

I did not expect you to know about Toffutti anything! I love their stuff!

oh shoot! those sandwiches that are like 5 bucks for 4 of them and they are lactose, soy and i dont know what else free? i have a pint of that crap in my freezer, its freaking GOOD.
But I'd still prefer my vanilla icecream with oreo cookies and cookie dough kthx

Merla and I like to try vegan alternatives and stuff like that. I was gonna buy some today but went with a different non-dairy sandwich.
I used to like this "meat" by Boca, but they changed it or something and now I can't eat it anymore. :( When I e-mailed them, they insisted it's still the same product and the list of ingredients look the same on the box, but it has a spongy texture now. :puke:
-
Unfortunately they are a bit hit and miss. I prefer Morningstar's version of the ground type stuff, I think they call it 'crumbles."
-
I can't eat those things anymore. I used to eat them all the time for a year in highschool, then one day the smell just made me want to vomit. It persists.
-
Weird.

I'll eat those but the ones I really liked were the Boca. Boo hoo. I like those veggie patties things from Morningstar and those fake-ass chick patties from Boca. I'll still eat those. I currently use turkey for 95% of my ground meat needs though. Sowwy, I know it's still an aminal.

I forgot what Marmaduke was, so I googled it. I was thinking it was the big red dog, but that's Clifford. Marmaduke's the lame ass orange great dane.
I'm surprised that comic is still going on. It sucks serious ass and isn't funny in the least. But considering that it was started in the 50s it's being done by an Old Dude and we all know Old Dudes have very crappy senses of humor.
And what I also found out is there's a fucking Marmaduke movie coming out (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaPXJiN_C6E). Dear god in heaven this is going to suck.
Also, WHEN DID FAYE HAVE HER BABY? Apparently I missed that memo too, like I missed the memo where she was pregnant.
-
I didn't know, either. Hopefully she did.

Doing all that research on Marmaduke I thought you would have gotten the word, seeing as he is the father.
